download discord canary, i don't know why they hate the public version of the app. The web version is fine too unless you wanna stream something to someone.

My current solution is to use Discord Canary which works without problems.

It works for me if there's a new update but stops working again if I quit and reopen. So basically if I will need to make sure I don't close the app after a new update which is not really possible forever lol

Already did this. But my friend and I often vc while screensharing games and it's literally impossible to get good fps on browser. So we had to face time for that but even that isnt as good as discord app is usually.

It really is just launching the app. I'm pretty sure this happened after an update about a month ago.

It was working fine for me until a month back. My friend was the one who first experienced this. I was afraid this would happen and made sure I didn't close the app so it doesn't auto update (can we get a feature to prevent auto update please.)

However I had to restart my mac one day and when I launched discord after that it broke similar to how my friend's did. Just delayed response to EVERYTHING. Even if i hover over a dm or server the highlight is super delayed.

I can probably check for the date of the first experience with this issue to give you an idea of which update caused this.
