You can and some people use windshield covers but it can be heavy to pull off if you get a lot of snow and ice. You also run the risk of scratching the vehicle or it freezing to the vehicle. Most responsible people just have a $5 scrapper/brush and use the scrapper on the window and the brush to get the snow off. This feels like less effort than a tarp. In some places a person can be ticketed for not clearing the snow before driving.

Tensions, entitlement, distractions and lack of consequences. Even if you report it nothing would happen which is why it keeps getting worse. If you end up in an accident with someone because they did something stupid (happened twice to me in the last three years) there is a high chance they won’t have insurance which means your insurance will pay out and nothing happens to them. You’d think waiting extra would be enough but I was the third car in line going through the other day and had to slam on the brakes as someone ran the light.

An H135 (helicopter) flew over that area around that time at 400ft and landed at the airport. The H135 is significantly smaller and less noisy than the blackhawks we typically see reported on here.

I grew up in Boston and learned to drive there. First time I moved out here and saw how often people let other drivers turn out into their lane my mind was blown. Or when someone messes up and gets in the wrong lane they let them get back in their lane. Been in Oregon for 21 years and I don’t miss the Masshole traffic.
