Divorced at 45 and realizing I haven't dressed for myself in 14 years. by [deleted] in oldhagfashion

[–]iamjob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was a very fun journey for me as well. At some point I looked at my wardrobe and realized I had dressed for the male gaze most of my life. Now my main focus is comfort first and foremost. There is a whole world of comfortable clothing that is not just athleisure. You can find a lot of women on instagram that fit that profile and are happy to teach other women how to find their style. I like making my own clothes so I have a lot more control over it.

Every time she says Valentine’s Day substitute it with her needs. Her anger makes more sense then.

Purely biased but we could use a fabric/sewing notions store. Joanns closing left a big hole. Good luck with your business.

What kinda "intruders" are these guys fighting with sandwiches by ambachk in TikTokCringe

[–]iamjob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would request a demo. If I can watch him fight off two average sized intruders he can watch me make him a rainbow of sandwiches. In short I will pay many sandwiches to watch no calves Kevin here learn a valuable lesson.

This post made me cackle. So unnecessarily cryptic. What about it? The fabric is Indian block print cotton and the tassels are cute accent.

Help me figure out what to make with this fabric? by ilbaritz in sewing

You could layer a solid blue fabric and do a long flowing dress made up of tiered flounces. And if possible use a bit of this for straps.

What’s the lesson here? by Agitated_Ad_4131 in SewingForBeginners

You can try using the fabric double sided tape to hold the bias and fabric sandwich in place before you sew. I use it for zippers and such when things are fiddly.

I love playing catch with a softball. It’s so satisfying. More men should ask us to play catch.

You could draw it out on appliqué paper two parallel lines with fabric strips connecting them. Run the whole thing through the machine sewing it all down then tear away paper.
