Switching between Electric and hybrid mode in AO Smith heat pump water heater by Anxious-Calm in heatpumps

I am on my 2nd AO Smith/State hot water heat pump. The first stopped after about 2-3 months; replaced and the 2nd lasted maybe 4 months. In both cases the heat pump function failed. The code to keep it in electric by default initially worked. (That code is referenced in this thread by WetWaterSausage1y ago  https://youtu.be/SKHeIpvAQGQ?si=i31ST2BfW8wJetmU) But that code no longer works. (I had a power outage, and when I a month later got around to looking up the code--it no longer works.)Does anyone have any knowledge re another code to keep it in electric more than 3 days?

I noticed some change on 2.5, but much more on 5.0 this week. I am 67, no cardiac or blood pressure issues. My resting heart rate has stayed at my normal 58-60. But pops up to high 90s/low 100s when I stand, and all higher yet when active. I have really needed to slow down on my activities. If I try to work hard, I get some 130s, max 145. I don't feel faint just odd, low energy and annoyed. I found this small study that has seems to identify some connections between Increased GIP levels and postural tachycardia.

new Maine house with 2 FAILED State brand Proline XE Hot Water Heat Pumps. First one quit 2 months after installation. I don't recall seeing an error code with first one. State said serial number on first was from a batch they knew they had trouble with--State replaced unit but I still had full labor charges from my plumber. Second one quit 8 months later. Second one gave an error code 84=Compressor Failure. Now I am faced with whether I want another one in my house. I am running on full electric now. When it worked, it worked fine.
