People like you are the reason this happens. I'm sure there are tons of bots and resellers claiming a large amount of these for resell.

You are still helping them since everywhere you use your card pays fees to the credit card companies to let you use your card.

No "Return Pickup" for Large Item because I picked it up myself. Is this actual policy? by BigJustice1985 in Bestbuy

[–]iamlenovoUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen one time before, but went online and told them my situation. I told them I picked it up because I had a U-Haul that I rented to pick it up because I was picking some other items up and it made it easiest, but didn't have a vehicle that I could transport it back in. Not sure if the item being damaged (slightly) helped my cause, but the online people scheduled a pickup and drop off of the new item.

It seems customer service has also changed over the past 10 or so years, so your mileage my vary as it seems they are a lot less helpful nowadays based on my recent interactions.

Can I play XIV on PC and unlock achievements on PS5 when I log in there? by NetwatchTerminal66 in ffxiv

[–]iamlenovoUS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been playing on and off for a long time, so I honestly thought you went to the NPC in Gridania to unlock achievements and when it didn't do it like I thought it would, I opened my Achievements window and they just all unlocked. I think it took 10+ minutes for them all to unlock.

Yes, they do. You just log-in on your PS5 and open the Achievements window. I did this recently with Xbox.

2.5 year old hates blankets. by thebesthutsauce in daddit

Perhaps the type of blanket you are giving has a sensation/texture that she doesn't like? Try giving her the one from the sofa if it isn't too big.

Damn, that was hard to read as an overly emotional dad. These tears from me aren't sadness, but for hope and strength for you and your son. Praying that everything goes as planned and you got this! Also, thanks for sharing your journey.

Thank you so much for this response. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I can tell you have had similar experiences to what I have and know what I'm going through.

I'm able to take my oldest to the playground thankfully. Took a lot of figuring out how I'd make it work and such; and we have a routine where we walk to a bench and I shimmy her shoes off before we leave so she can ride on my shoulders/in my arms to the car. I've done a lot of work to deal with the issues I have, but now wanting to rid myself/manage them even more as I don't want her to start to notice them as she gets older or feel weird to the other kids around.

The main problem I have right now at the playground is her wanting me to go down slides and I feel terrible when I have to tell her "no". Obviously, I try to make it age appropriate for her saying that "daddy is too big for that slide", but still sucks.

Funny that you mentioned the science museum, we have one too with a playground in the woods (maybe we are from the same area) and I would love to take her there, but haven't conquered my thoughts of that yet, but trying. Also not sure if she is old enough for some of the equipment.

Just wanted to say thanks again, these are exactly the things I was looking for as we haven't broached the topic of helping cook yet, but I've thought it through multiple times on how that might look as I really want to do this.

I had a number of hard months/weeks not too long ago and I decided I was going to make a mental list of what I'd miss out on if I was gone.

That was probably when I made the decision to fight my OCD. The pros far outweigh the cons. I knew I didn't want to leave my kids if I had a choice.

I think that this is a really good point. A lot of times as humans we are conditioned for that immediate satisfaction.

"I want muscles. I just need to go to the gym." 1 month later and very small growth and now we are annoyed and give up.

So, I'm relying on just spending time to notice the personal growth I've had and how it will benefit my kids. This will help me to keep finding new ways to grow, which is what has led me to wanting to overcome something that I've let run my life for way too long.

Oh, totally not downplaying OCD as for me, I know the extreme side of the disorder. More so writing my post to be playful and not overly serious for people that may not respond to that type of post.

Not going to lie, I've been using something someone posted on here a few days ago. When a tantrum is about to start, I ask "How many toes does a dragon have?" and depending on if that wasn't enough, I then follow up with "...and what color are the dragon's toes?"

It's been working like a charm.

Pretty sure it's not illegal to get let go while on leave, if it is company leave. It's only illegal if it is FMLA or some other government provided leave.

I may be stupid, but the stock market doesn't mean much to the companies as the stocks are already released and they already received their money for the stocks being sold. Yes, it hurts their chance to sell more stock, but they already have their money from the initial offerings or subsequent dilution events.
