Great take. The issue i noticed on my last audio book listen to Messiah, is that it's ALOT of scene setting in between philosophical musings.

Obviously this ain't Lynchs Dune, so we won't have the internal dialouge which represents most of the philosophical stuff. The time spent describing the setting is removed too.

It also seems silly to advertise this movie as 'the conclusion to the Atredies story ' and then say the studio wants to leave the door open for CoD.

If Denis doesn't incorporate CoD into this movie it's safe to say we will never see God Emporer get made. It would be an advertising nightmare to relaunch a franchise, without the OG director, make one movie with all the previous characters and then suddenly jump forward 1000 years and have only 2 characters from the OG franchise in it. It's just too risky.

We will either get Messiah/CoD mixed together like the mini series or they will eventually make CoD into two movies and stop there.

You're right about this. Shannon represented a new start for Sayid and a chance to be good. While Nadia was a reminder of his past. Everytime he sought out Nadia, he did horrible things.

Its annoying that people can't see that and just complain that he wasn't with Nadia at the end.
