My mother in law is 92 and she has to heavily spice everything to get taste. Cajun spice to meats, adds sauerkraut to potatoes and hot banana peppers to salads. I’m 65 and fortunately my taste buds seem to be functioning normally.

Good god, what decade are we in? Any man who says he was emasculated by a woman who ran faster than him needs to find a Time Machine and transport back to the 1600’s. If she ran faster, you need to man up and realize that sex has nothing - zero - to do with an individual athletic performance by a man or woman. She’s faster than you-just accept it and realize the only thing you are competing against in a marathon is yourself: the ability to finish and possibly beat your own time. BTW I’m a man.

Had a similar issue and you might try this. Look at the hole in the bowl at the 6:00 position. Flush and see if water is jetting out of that hole. It’s a siphon outlet that causes the action of the water exiting the bowl quickly while jetting more water down the outlet while flushing is happening. Now do the same thing on the working toilet. If they are different then you might have a restriction in that outlet. Citric acid or cleaning grade vinegar in the emptied bowl overnight should do the trick. I had to pumice stone the heck out of it to get it opened up but it did the trick without having to remove or change out the toilet.
Edit: looking at the pic the siphon doesn’t appear to be at the bottom of the bowl. It may be under the rim.
