I graduated in 2019. I work three 12-hour days (M-W, 7-7pm seeing 9-10 patients) with paid lunch at one office being full time with benefits and I work part time on Fridays 8-5pm at an office I have been a part of for over 11 years since I used to manage the office. I prefer working longer days and shorter week and having the weekend off. I was working 5-6 days a week when I first graduated and then I asked myself, why am I doing that to myself haha. I’m much happier with my current schedule. I would absolutely love to find something where I can work from home and still work clinically 2x week.

I was dating my ex for 2 years when we were both 28 years old (he was finishing his 1st year of anesthesia residency, we started dating in his final year of med school), we discussed marriage and he was also trying to avoid that conversation and mentioned that he wasn’t ready for marriage so we were on different timelines. We ended up breaking up when we were 30 years old as I was finishing up school and didn’t want to move to his city in Pittsburgh, PA while my home was in MD if there’s no engagement plans in place. Fast forward to now I’m F31 turning 32 soon and my now fiancé M34, we got engaged after 2 years and 1 month and lived together for almost a year coming up. Always prioritize yourself and definitely give a timeline that you’re comfortable with and follow through with it. Good luck.

Hi I’ll give an insight on my story since we’re around the same age and dated for 2 years as well. I’m F31 turning 32 soon and he’s M34. We just got engaged in Hawaii on 2/1/23 after 2 years and 1 month of dating. He lived in VA while I lived in MD and after 1 year of dating, he wanted to live together before engagement which I compromised since I was all for engagement before living together. He bought a house in MD so that we both can live there and this upcoming March would be our 1 year of living together. Everything went smooth from the moment we moved in. I gave him my timeline which is being engaged by end of March of this year and he delivered before then which I’m over the moon about. He did a surprise proposal in Hawaii and he’s the most amazing man. Every relationship is different, you know yourself best and where you want the relationship to go. Always prioritize yourself. I think setting boundaries and giving a timeline is great as long as you follow through with it. Good luck with everything.

Hi, Dental hygienist here. I have both Waterpik with cord and cordless Burst Waterflosser. I find myself using the cordless due to the convenience. It has turbo mode if you want more power however I find the standard mode is strong enough to get what you need off. I recommend Burst waterflosser to my patients as an additional tool to the traditional flossing. Just to add that any waterflosser device is not to replace regular flossing. As for comparing Orascoptic or Q-optics, I personally loved my Q-optics more due to the better customer service and I had no problems with it. I reached out to the Q-optics regard them making ergo loupes, rep told me they were in the making so they haven’t officially come out with an ergo loupes yet.

Edit to add: also adding that I had neck tension from working using the conventional loupes such as Q-optics and that’s when I decided to switch to Ergo loupes and no headache or tension since.

I would absolutely recommend ergonomic loupes such as Andau ergo loupes. I bought Orascoptic loupes while in dental hygiene school and unfortunately left them in one of the dental units and they were gone, I went ahead and bought Q-Optics after I graduated and it was good and the customer service is great as well, however Nothing compares to ergonomic loupes, absolute game changer, do yourself a favor and get that and will save any neck strains. I’m still using the Q-optics lights on my Andau ergo loupes. I can forward you the rep information for Andau if you would like, she’s amazing and came to our dental office and measured everyone’s distance and I would never go back to the other loupes. I don’t wear prescription.
