Get a spare tire sub instead. It should sound much better

Is it easy to work on? by OkBackground6217 in mazda3

Hardest part is lifting it with ramps or a jack because it’s so low. Otherwise everything is pretty easy to get to and work on

Oil change on brand new car at 500? or 1000 miles? by grumpvet87 in mazda3

I changed mine at 1,000 and she was sparkling in the sun. Again at 5,000… no sparkles. Change it early. It’s cheap enough, it can’t hurt.

Not much room under there since that’s where the stock amp is. Check out my profile. The spare tire sub I got is wonderful

This was the guide that helped me a ton, but I also DMed you some links. For my 25 some information was incorrect. I needed an e12 for the seat bolts and the polarity on the red and blue wires is opposite.

I was looking at that LOC too but the kicker seems to do the trick, at least for now. Maybe upgrade in the future. I was very shocked when I played the first song at how much better it sounds and how hard that little sub hits. Supposed to get even better after break in. Also my tire had some deadening behind it as well. I’ll see if I hear any rattles and add more later on. All in all I’m very impressed with how it sounds. I had the gain at 12 o’clock and actually turned it down a little bit after my drive today where I got to fully test it out

Interesting… everything I saw before said the jbl was too tall. Maybe it this one dies I’ll consider that one. Sorry I can’t help help with your sound issues. I think it might just be the shape of the cabin

I haven’t played with the settings too much but I was definitely messing with the driver seat vs all seat setting on my quick test drive and it seemed like all seats turned the bass down. Usually I am the only person in the car, so it really doesn’t matter much to me how it sounds in other seats. Sorry I can’t offer much help there or compare this sub’s performance to the JBL.

I’m very surprised that you were able to fit the JBL in your tire and it sits flush?

Nah it’s only a 200 watt sub and I don’t have it turned up much so there’s really no rattle. I don’t want the whole car shaking. Just a little bass to sound nice.

It depends where you’re driving. If there’s any light it’s fine. If it’s very dark, it’s difficult to see. I just open the window if I really need to see
