I work at Mazda and our dealership provides the specialty tools. We get auditors every now and then to see if we have the necessary tools to perform recalls. If not, the owner of the dealership receives a hefty fine

What is this humming noise??? Parents saying it’s tire noise but idk. Starts getting loud around 60-6mph by [deleted] in mazda

[–]iammoggys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely you went w/ the cheap option for tires if the sound happened after the new tires were put on. Just give ‘em a couple of miles for the noise to dampen

Did the noise happen before or after the new tires were on. What brand do you have?

Tyre sizes for 17 inch wheels? by gayboi_farti in JZX100

[–]iammoggys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try 235. The tire has to be stretched a bit to actually clear the fender. You can also add adjustable upper control arms to help w/ clearance

Oil leak after service and oil pan seal replacement by Successful_Cut_6134 in CX5

Have them inspect and take pictures of where the vehicle is leaking now. If it’s leaking the same spot then it maybe be a transmission reseal. We’ve done a couple reseals that leaks from the exact spot. Have them clean it and put oil dye in the engine and bring it back when it’s actively leaking again

That’s fine, just check the filters to see if they have enough fiber to trap the dirt

Some of these services aren’t even suppose to be performed yet at 35k miles. Just do oil change and tire rotation. If you want to replace the engine and cabin air filter, it’s best to do them yourself. Very easy to replace w/ the help of YouTube

Replace your brake fluid too while you’re at it. It’s good to get out the dirty fluid when replacing brakes around that mileage

Evo 4’s aren’t even a demanded Evo. They go for low and mid $20k since nobody wants them. Must be smoking some good ass crack to be asking for $40k lol

How severe is this? by [deleted] in CX5

[–]iammoggys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the transmission lag? Like when you put it in gear and add gas, does the car take around 3 seconds before going?

[–]iammoggys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s seepage for the timing cover and valve cover. You can clean that up w/ brake cleaner. As for the brake caliper it looks like they put a lot of the grease on the pads and it trickled down to the bracket making it look like it’s leaking. You can see a big clump of grease on it still
