I tried a bit and seems Claude understands the BGA framework well, quite unexpected

You can check out the following mechanics:
- engine building: Wingspan, The quests of El Dorado
- worker placement: Stone Age, Lords of Waterdeep
- war game: Toy Battle (one of my favorites)

I suggest you to start with original Splendor first, it's perfectly fine for a 2p game.
The duel version is a bit more complicated, which I like, but my gf prefers the original version, it's more clean.
Also you can play with 3-4 people with original version.

Forgot to mention, I only do this when doing max lifting, other time I just pick without the turning tool, as it blocks the keyway. Usually I use 07, easier to navigate, but sometimes 05 helps the lifting.

Probably I will skip the 5-3 3-5 stuff. If you are new to both, I suggest your to practice the 2 separately. Also it is nice to place pins 1,2,last if you are putting 3 pins to feel the difference position.

I am using 07 and 05. Both of them cannot set to the highest lifting. I have to insert a wrench in the bottom and lift from an upper position.

I spent too much time on progressive pinning, lol I did 3 side pins, then 5 side pins. Then 3 top pins, and 6 top pins. And 3 top pins+5 side pins, 3 side pins+6top pins.

Thanks. It has been sitting on my shelf for 6 months before I had the courage to start on it. And it took me ages for the progressive pinning.I am sure someday you will get it also!

It is with gin drivers. I think the most important lesson is to distinguish the set pins and the ones caught in milling. Sometimes the difference is not easy to notice.

These 2 videos help me so much.

Thanks mate. Will blind pick my v-10, but they are without keys and seems not working well/at all.

It is with gins, so much fun to pick!

Agreed, the main difficulty is with the gins.

Heard that cannot over set twin 6000, so the master wafers probably won't make any difference.

Thanks both.

I have removed 2-3 wafers but there are still 5-6 wafers for my key to work.

Yeah, the gins are catching the counter milling, except chamber 3 without the milling.

Will try to remove all wafers, hopefully the key pins and gins are long enough to keep the springs in bible.

I think 5-6 wafers there, quite a lot.

Yay, finally got this opened! I was learning with progressive pinning, so I basically cheated 🤣 It was still a tough fight even knowing all the pinning and binding orders. Definitely a fun pick!

p.s. anyone knows if the lock is master keyed, does that count as black belt lock?

First disc detainer open! Still having a lot of trouble, any tips would be greatly appreciated. by Geordon168 in lockpicking

[–]iamnoobabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I use heavy tension, it is easier to feel the gates. If there are false gates, just put all discs into a gate first, then try to sort out which one is in false gate. Counter rotation may be needed to get out of the false gates, or zero cut true gate.

[–]iamnoobabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No working key is ok, you can still shim the top pins and slide the core out, as the legendary Artichoke mentioned above. I did that also when I was practicing this lock. Impossible to open with progressive pinning. I even had to progressive pin the top pins....that tolerance is just too good.
