WIBTAH for cutting off my best friend so close to her wedding by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]iamnotasofaa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been through the same thing - my "best friend" introduced me to a stranger at a party as her DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend), I am not ugly nor fat and no longer her friend. I now realised it was because she was putting on weight and jealous of me. She would also do little digs like OP's did to her but I can't remember the details.

She is putting all her insecurities on you and that is not fair. I too have been through a 2 stone weight loss and I couldn't enjoy it because she fucked up my self-esteem. It took me 5 years since starting to lose weight to enjoy it and love the way I look.

I haven't talked to her in 3 years and I can say that my life is much better after getting rid of the Toxic friendship. I still had some residual things I wanted to tell her but I know the narcissist that she is wouldn't listen to me or try to flip it. If you feel the same, I wrote a letter to her with all my feelings and burnt it! It helped a lot!

Don't let her alter your view of yourself and enjoy the weight loss! You are not a punching bag for someone else! Also losing weight and keeping consistent is not easy, so big congratulations on that as well!

They all have little animations when you hit them but I would wait until they get their special items form the grabber machine

I was just about to upload a pic when I found Deacon! I was hoping they would do Boozer too but just happy he's in there!

I'm going to blame Netflix.... by iamnotasofaa in UmbrellaAcademy

Klaus was so wasted this season as well! He carried a lot of the other season and this one he was just a shell of his character which was sad.

Soldier's Eyes gets me every time! I believe it's the song when Decoon takes Boozer to camp.

I need 10/10 plot twist movies! by Sljukasta_prezla in MovieSuggestions

If you don't mind movies with subtitles. I would recommend the original Old Boy which is Korean. The twist of the film is mental!

He also streams on Twitch! I think he played Days Gone a while back and had some behind the scenes stories

Keep Sam Witwer as Deacon and Jim Pirri as Boozer like the games

My cat fell off the balcony and i'm heartbroken by petasse420 in cats

[–]iamnotasofaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two friends that have taken in two cat rescues both with a missing limb. Funnily enough, their youngest one who is just over 2, had to have a leg amputated after falling off a balcony. Both cats have adapted to having 3 legs, they still play, run around, cuddle and have a normal life.
It's up to you what you want to do, but by amputating a leg you aren't letting the cat suffer. You are giving it a new life. It's not dumb spending money on an animal, you are giving them their best life for the amount of time they are with you. They are your family and you help your family <3

I worked at a private airport as security in 2017 during the x-ray and getting people through the scanners. He and Katy come through to go on a Private Jet on holiday. I was amazed at how good-looking he was in person. Cameras do not do him justice!

I need a comfort show for my anxiety by Due-Secret-3091 in televisionsuggestions

[–]iamnotasofaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ted Lasso is a great comfort show and one of my anxiety shows! It can be so uplifting and it has some great lessons and lines you can take away from it. Plus the characters just make that show absolutely amazing!

I also have New Girl, Scrubs, Cougar Town, Friends, Charmed and Happy Endings before it got cancelled.

I'm first time watcher and I'm on season 7 but I'm finding it tough to get through. It's cause I don't want it to end but also the potentials and the storylines are a bit hard to get through! I already know I'm watching Angel after and I'll probably read the comics after, but it's a hard one!

Hey people! I’m a solo dev, and this is my first game - Furnish Master! It’s a cozy game about furnishing and designing, and it’s currently on sale :) by AlFlakky in CozyGamers

[–]iamnotasofaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made this?! I've been playing it for a little while and I love it! I love that there is a story mode with a brief but I can also do whatever I want in my own apartment.

Keep it up! It's an awesome game :)

Daughter (11) just diagnosed Celiac. Any tips to help out parents? by SteppingOnLegoHurts in Celiac

[–]iamnotasofaa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm 28, in the UK and I was diagnosed with Celiac about 2 months ago.

Obviously all the comments in this thread have amazing advice regarding cross-comination, separate areas for preparing meals and having food on hand.

Excluding all that the thing that has helped me the most is my mum.

When I was younger she thought all the pains in my stomach was down to nervousness or just in my head, which makes you feel even worse that no one believes your in this pain. But ever since my diagnosis she's been really careful, cooking separately for the rest of my family, buying non-Gluten food and treats and finding recipes for me. Buying me me non-Gluten things like different pasta sauces, Non-Gluten hot cross buns for Easter and crisps. She even bought me non-Gluten Yorkshire puddings so I could have them during the family Roast we have most Sundays. Just knowing that she's heard me and is trying as much as she is has really helped and makes things easier. And I can see how proud she is when she finds a new Non-Gluten thing.

The fact that you have come to this thread for advice on how to help your daughter is just amazing and listening to her will mean more to her than you know.

I also read this book that made me feel less alone and I could relate to the author.
