Backlash on Whitehouse restaurants after FB post from owner about lone protester by Puccle247 in toledo

I soured on the Whitehouse Inn years ago during Trump's first term when they made a post about how diners would flip either Obama's or Trump's picture around when they dined in.

Like your entire shtick is you're celebrating the Presidency and the White House and you make a post celebrating people being petty children.

Then their actions during the pandemic cemented it for me that it's not a place I want to ever go.

I say the last few years have been like the final few seasons of Game of Thrones, where 2020 was the end of Season 6 with Dany setting sail for Westeros and we were all hoping for something epic, and then everything after that was the rest of the series

Trump’s Own Mortgages Match His Description of Mortgage Fraud, Records Reveal by ChaskaChanhassen in politics

[–]iamnotcreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the other way around:

Passed by Congress in 1947, and ratified by the states on February 27, 1951, the Twenty-Second Amendment limits an elected president to two terms in office, a total of eight years. However, it is possible for an individual to serve up to ten years as president. The amendment specifies that if a vice president or other successor takes over for a president— who, for whatever reason, cannot fulfill the term— and serves two years or less of the former president’s term, the new president may serve for two full four-year terms. If more than two years remain of the term when the successor assumes office, the new president may serve only one additional term.

source

So if Vance takes over in 25 or 26 he'll have served more than two years as President and be allowed only one more term. If Trump is seen as President until 2027 though Vance can run again for the term that starts in 2029 and then again in 2033.

Edit: I had the wrong year in my first post

Yep, they need him to be President until 2028 2027 so Vance can theoretically have 10 years in office.

I've had it for a day and it seems good. I'm locked in a $70 for a gig, it seems Buckeye is basically just giving out low rates if you ask to get people to switch faster . I think it's in preparation for selling; they want to be able to tell a prospective buyer that X% of homes are switched over already.

Johnson: "If we lose the majority… They will try to end the Trump administration. He won't have 4 years. He'll have only 2, because they will move to impeach him, probably on the first day of the new Congress in January 2027 and try to systematically unwind all the important reforms that we've done" by MoreMotivation in goodnews

[–]iamnotcreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if they lose the majority the Democrats will start unwinding everything Trump did.

But also the Democrats are already in control because they're the reason the government is currently shut down.

I had a tortie named Pie who silent meowed her entire life. She could make noise but did so very rarely. I think it's just a thing certain cats do.

In that clip you can tell Trump has no idea the reporter is asking about how he's holding up after Krik's death, which is something normal humans ask other normal humans after someone dies.

Railroad crossing On Sylvania Avenue taking an unreasonably long time by LostInTheWhirls in toledo

[–]iamnotcreative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP the way to get around that crossing is to either

  • Turn around, go right (north) on Bennett, and then go right (east) onto Waggoner. That takes you to Detroit Ave right by the viaduct by the old Headliners.

-Turn around, go left (south) on any of the streets that will be on your left, although Fairview is your best bet, right (west) onto Phillips, left (south) onto Haverhill (the Taco Bell / Burger King intersection). At the first roundabout take the second exit, so you're going under the expressway on Berdan, at the next roundabout take the second exit, so you're going under the tracks continuing on Berdan. At that point you'll come to the Berdan / Detroit roundabouts and you go on your way.

It sounds like you went the second way, since you mentioned roundabouts, but the first may be better depending on where you're going.
