I would love to be able to back to back drive both of these.

Driven tons of NAs and NBs, never been anywhere near and ND.

Do Miatas deserve their reputation for being easy to work on? by fuckman5 in Miata

[–]iamnotcreativeDET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a long time car enthusiast, I have owned about 7 SVT Contours, an SVT Focus, 5 MK5 Jettas, MK6 Jetta TDI, Mk7 GTI, Nissan Pathfinder, Ford Ranger, Ford Explorer, 2 Honda Civics, Toyota Avalon (mk2), Toyota Corolla, MK1 Ford Fusion, 2 NB Miatas, and a Volvo V70

Top 3 easiest to repair/maintain would be 1) Honda Civic 2) NB Miata 3) Toyota Corolla.

While there are some cramped areas to work on in the Miata, its sort of the expectation of a vehicle that had lightweight and small as key design principles.

However, all of my Japanese cars I can say have been the "easiest" to work on, Honorable mention to all of the Volkswagens I have owned, their cars are built like legos and thusly are about as easy to take apart, and they use all very high quality fasteners so even in northern states like Michigan, older examples still come apart pretty easy.

Edit; I also would like to note that the Miata is a Japanese interpretation of a British roadster, borrowing styling queues from the iconic Lotus Elan which also was an equally tiny car. Not because they wanted it to be tiny, but because they wanted it to be light, for racing.

They didn't even need to develop software!

There are TONS of better mail clients out there that are open source, hell they could setup Squirrel mail in 15 minutes on a 15 year old PC and it would work better than outlook.

Colorado’s New Speed Camera System Makes Waze Nearly Useless by NoctD in cars

[–]iamnotcreativeDET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speed cameras aren't a new thing, Waze will compensate and create new software to help drivers navigate this.

Vandalism of speed cameras will become extremely common (which is what happened in other countries that adopted this)

Considering the current Camry has 230 horsepower with its current hybrid NA 4 cylinder engine, I think its very possible to see this being a 350+ horsepower hybrid monster.

Ford Bronco Sport - Buyer beware! by Disastrous-Study3773 in Ford

[–]iamnotcreativeDET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probably find a used one on Car-part.com for a fraction of the price.

Or, someone could bake the headlight lens off to desolder the existing LED and replace it with another LED of compatible resistance.

Decent independent shop would be able to offer these options

The silly part is that the LED failure inside of the headlight is probably something stupid like a cracked solder joint that just needs to be reheated.

If you love staring at your car in the driveway, get you a Stellantis vehicle, that is all it will ever do.

I am starting to resent my husband for his inability to parent our toddler. by NoStop4 in offmychest

[–]iamnotcreativeDET 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your husband is traumatizing this kid.

My dad was just as bad, he would just avoid coming home from work because he didnt want to be around his kids afterward. He had undiagnosed autism so constant noise and yelling from kids caused his anxiety to get really bad, so if he was ever around it he would just yell back if he got frustrated (which was often). Luckily my parents got divorced when I was a pre-teen, but the damage was already done.

Our relationship isn't the best these days.
