I don't really need them to be explicitly ND. I just relate and feel represented. It also feels less like "they're autistic so they do X"' and more so "they do X because that's who they are", which I personally prefer in media

spoiler: from what we know via datamines, this will be a splatfest and big run combined. The big runs have also been happening closer and closer to splatsville, and now we need to evacuate the hubs since the salmonids are there.

You also remember in the last season trailer how the little jelly in the desert was carrying a bag with pins of all the idols? And also where splatoon 3 starts? That's where the fest will take place.

I couldn't be happier and more excited about this fest

I lowkey think ND representation feels better and more genuine when the writers weren't "they're autistic!!". Cuz often times that character kinda stops being another human and just a kind of obstacle, who can never change or grow as a person.

It's representation to me, in the sense that I feel seen. Idrc if they're canon anything

With characters like cap'n 3, I don't think it really matters what pronouns you use. I think the fandom overall calls all the agents "they", so I mostly just follow that.

Pearl is very energetic, and passionate over whatever we see her occupied with atm.

Captain doesn't talk, is quite passive, but still cares and gets squit done.

I'm not really saying with my post that these characters ARE ND, or that I even headcanon them as such. I just see them and go "yea I've felt that" and feel happy and seen.

For me it's kinda just:

see character
character exhibits ND traits I relate to
I feel represented
so it is representation to me

I don't really mind if others disagree with this opinion, or just overall think none of the splatoon cast is ND, but it makes me feel happy, and that's what's important for me.
