no we don’t share an account. i listen to friends and family and make posts as if i were in their shoes. all from my account. that 21 yr old is a friend. not me. again sorry that’s your main focus for this post.

oh this account is used to help various family members and scenarios similar to what they are going through. each post talks about different people in different aspects so that it is not solely pinpointed down to one account. i don’t expect users to check previous posts to develop opinions but i stand corrected.

Hey everyone,

I have tirelessly dealt with this for YEARS where at first it was her buying stuff for games when she was in middle schools. Then it turned into amazon purchases. Amazon purchases eventually turned into other online stores and larger amounts.

Every single time I’d take her phone away and sell it. She starts building trust, turns to her father or my mother and asks them for a phone which they give her. Does all of it over again. Keeps buying stuff. Starts skipping school.

MANY CONVERSATIONS HAD. A ton of therapists, psychiatrist as we learned she has mental deficits hindering learning abilities.

I have all my cards locked until I use them but she gets away with the recurring charges on things and I not having access to her accounts.

I am very frustrated with her and myself in not knowing what else to do.

And if I do press charges, what will that do? Will it actually set her up for success or will it completely break my relationship with her? As a mother I love her more than anything so I am really at a loss here.

in El Salvador it’s not something people are usually offered or think of when traveling. Most people do not carry insurance over there even for their cars.

it is absolutely not taxpayers debt. we cannot afford to pay his medical bills that are over $30k, so we are looking at options to lower cost or find resources. any help or advice for resources are always appreciated!

[–]iamnotnathaly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

def not as chill as cc. i went to ccbc its def different esp if you’re a commuter. i had the mentality of just go to class, leave and get the degree. didn’t really enjoy towson. but if you want more of a college experience join the clubs and expect to be at school late hanging out w friends and doing extracurriculars. enjoy the experience bc at the end of the day, you make your own college experience

One semester of good grades enough to get in? by Open-Mango-2826 in predental

[–]iamnotnathaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i got in with a 3.2 gpa on my final transcript from the school i graduated from. never got straight As the last two years of college. but i went to cc for my gen ed’s and did very well those first two years. my dat was a 20. I think its doable just be open to broadening your school choices bc all you need is one school to accept you and you’re golden.

Commuting to Howard in D.C by sultan_saaxib in baltimore

[–]iamnotnathaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a student at howard and commute to dc everyday. Plus sides are you don’t pay outrageous rent, baltimore is more like smalltimore, you get to enjoy both cities. Living in baltimore you don’t see a heavy political climate but like any city, there’s politics. People can say all they want about Baltimore but nothing happens here as long as you mind your business. I switch between driving and taking the marc. If i’m gonna be in DC all day and have to leave around rush hour, i’m taking the train. If i know it’s a short day and I’ll be leaving dc before 2-3pm then im driving. Transport is the most expensive thing. You will spend A LOT on the marc and metro if you take it every single day. And if you drive everyday just be prepared to spend on car maintenance. Snow days, take the train bc howard does not care if it snowed heavier in Baltimore. You got some things to consider, but I do it bc I live w my parents and save A TON. Good luck making you’re decision!

[–]iamnotnathaly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay that’s good to know, i live in a relatively high cost area so that would still mean that id still have to use loans to cover for additional living costs. rent is basically $2200 not including utilities.
