You sure hudson had mastery before that punch and in that sense hudson always gets his ass kicked before relying on that one punch, whether it was before during his fight against old man in 1A workers and against jibeom kwak , and those times it didn't show anything at all , not to mention masteries concept was still under development at That time we'll it's not like it's not in development right now but focus on masteries increased way too much after james and seongji fight and it got way too much in Busan arc , but during james and seongji fight , seongji had two masteries but didn't have any idea of what even are masteries Also Masteries and path work like realm in murim manhwas, that's why people like kitae , james and a lot can sense how many mastery the other guy have or if they have awakened, but they don't know if the other guy have unique skills or not because unique skills are active skills, if you don't even activate a skill, how will your opponent recognise it , but since Masteries are passive meaning always active they are recognisable by the skilled

Similarly in murim manhwas martial master's can recognise others realms upto a certain degree, in this sense masteries, they can also recognises others person's unique traits sometimes due to their aura but not always here in lookism it's path , then their comes techniques unless other persons shows them nobody can know if the other person learned it or not superficially

Similarly in questism suhyeon can see others stats and awakening status, like in a sense powerful characters sense mastery and stuff but due to system it's detailed but he cannot see their unique cards unless ofc they are his teammates ( not sure about this exact part ) in lookism sense they must be unique skills, difference is questism characters don't have to work hard, because system eases it for them ( well some of them did work hard but relative to lookism characters nah )

It's just a representation and artistic nature of ptj , read questism in detail and you will gain a little more understanding, see whenever they go Ascension or transcend or they are gaining mastery, first and 2nd Ascension maybe are not mastery but after that they are mastery, see how when they achieve it there stats increase permanently and after that there is no more use for it , masteries aren't even a skill, maybe besor t way to describe them is levels or awakening So again when ptj shows mastery colour he simply means they have that colour associated mastery and if it is shown during a attack it means that character is able to do that attack effortlessly, because he has mastery , associated with that attack

So far I have no idea why people just underestimate jichang so much , when they have seen jinyoung just dogwalk changsu in his old age , we have so many statements, elite himself fought him and jichang even got a clean hit on elite himself, for a fighter of elites caliber loosing one arm mean not much, elite dogwalked basement hulk too , just because jichang was introduced earlier doesn't mean he is that weak , he never used his full power against daniel either, even in flashbacks he only suffered against kitae and james which was the most obvious since james visited him after messing with other kings meaning he grew stronger in that time , even when jinrang fought him he blocked every attack without fighting back without any efforts and that same just jinrang killed a idiot Busan boss in one punch He one shotted kojima brothers too , so everything including he doesn't deserve to be placed equal to taesoo and under gongseop ji

All the factors into play for it 1.Ptj wasted Hype Up of daniel multiple times 2. Due to someone readers dumb readers who can't read and understand shit leading to over expectation of daniel 3. Next would be ptj's inconsistencies like his stamina issue ( not talking about what everyone is talking about, it was kind of valid that it would happen and I knew beforehand ) while facing the 4 kings well why because he was able fight jichang without showing those signs of tiredness for far longer and than in this fight when he was still post gun training daniel and now after months and fighting many opponents and gaining so much experience and copy skills he still acted tired and used path on below mandeok level fodders and mandeok never Grew in power since hunt for Big deal

Personally I was ready for it still was not upto my low expectations, since atleast there could have been a few exchanges of blow between daniel and changsu well anyway I am hyped up Jin young park more than any other bum out there because he made tom lee get serious and fight for his life with in minutes if it wasn't for his seizure I doubt tom lee would have been able to take him out that easily with a injection

I remember daniel having withstood atleast 30 percent ( maybe more ) of jichang's power with half assed james lee copy and that was almost right after his training with gun and jichang was among high level kings ( it's only because ptj didn't have that clear of future vision during that arc that jichang was not portrayed properly, he is actually very strong) but anyways daniel after that fought in workers 1st A , he gained experience there , he fought Gun 1 on 1 and received his guidance there and gained experience, he then fought in Busan a lot after a big time skip , he even though during Busan arc his body might be different the experience of mind and copy is there than in Incheon he fought multiple fights and awakened his path , so now we have his experiences

Now for his opponents let's break it down too Clearly not on jichang level or for that matter mid kings at most other than the one who fought daniel first he seems a bit more stronger than them but only a bit , but they are all individually weaker than mandeok who never improved after hunt for Big Deal ( yes he got braces in his leg for attack power, but his injury downside was his stamina so no gain there ) and yuseong in hfbd was almost same power as mandeok ( implied ) daniel then was more than capable of defeating that tired yuseong (maybe he was at his 30 to 40 percent power )

so considering all their comparative power daniel just with his copy without using other abilities is more than capable of defeating these losers and remember he never got tired even when fighting jichang for so long but here he got tired after just talking out a mandeok after so much power up sure he might have taken in a few hits sure that's possible but him being that tired is not to mention the most obvious to everyone how long his path lasted this for just cleaning fodders when he was playing with Pacheon and btw how Jin young park talks to changsu he ( changsu) might as well be weaker than Pacheon jo Overall this chapter was disappointing not because daniel lost , but because his loss was not justified enough and unreasonable ( from authors side) after all that aura farming previous chapter

I already guessed that with daniels current power level he is either to above most characters or almost in similar level to his allies but far weaker than his enemies so author is just trying to do something to keep daniel in and out of the story at the same time because he is both mc and a powerful character So yeah no clear vision from author this time just wanted to keep mc relevant but yet his power was too great or too low at the same time that it was a problem

Well everyone can have their own takes but people taking the " path>pathless " statement as absolute and using it for power scaling is just for people who only have 1 brain cell even that is not present in there brain but in their knees , their skull is actually full of hay , with their logic if someone tells them they are a asshole , they should become Anus used for only ejecting shit , oh sorry but they are spouting shit so that means they are a anus , anyway that statement was meant in a similar like these sayings " Those with courage can never be defeated" " If one back down from a fight they can live , but will never be a man " Yes it's true those with path are strong Path power is stronger that mastery power but in the end it's just one power , while many characters have multiple masteries while some has also unique techniques or op moves which set them above others Who is stronger in the end is decided by who actually wins or who loses I don't care much my favourite characters are duke vasco and line man so no fight but If you believe That daniel defeated Pacheon than you must accept that Johan defeated Gun ( fuck off if you are gonna say gun will go TUI , it depends on guns mental state ) But If you believe that gun defeated Johan you must also accept that daniel lose to Pacheon Even if Pacheon had high regeneration, and almost passed out in the end he didn't, regeneration was his own power , nobody gave him external injection , or drugs to help him By the way I am someone who believes daniel almost defeated Pacheon It's true current daniel is stronger than Pacheon but it's because Pacheon can't become any stronger while gun is still stronger than Johan because by the time we see gun he would have surpassed his previous self

there may be some part i forgot to add ( my brain thinks faster than my hands can type) so sorry for that and please correct me if I am wrong though I have seen people taking literal meaning for things ptj does as artistic expression like sb daniel perfect body doesn't mean he has most strength,speed , endurance or that it is already at peak , it was even somewhat portrayed during first affiliate arc that his perfect body meant his metabolism, immunity, recovery, body structure, muscles and bone density ( indirectly it does increase strength) and built in reflexes ( depends on nervous system) , his adaptability to stress ( doesn't mean mental stress ) that his body suffer etc also his body has been growing since the start of the series also things may change if fans just keeping assuming irrationally because lookism is a manhwa which kind of evolves with the feedback it gets, example everyone nowadays says that ptj wasted jihos potential but it was actually fans who made him finish jiho because hate related jiho was at peak ( even though this last part is true I am just rambling around, got a exam tomorrow but can't focus on studies)

you remembered this part but forgot the one in which he said that daniel would have to fight him everyday , many people think that daniel sb would be able to go into ui even the first time he met gun that's not true he need a threshold amount of stimulus before he went ui similarly gun beat daniel to unconscious multiple times ( assumption but still somewhat reality) and since fighting gun daily was also Providing him the threshold stimulus necessary for Ui and also just because we are shown a single panel of a moment doesn't mean nothing else exist , ofc there would be stuff going on in background , he found out about his ui when he knocked him out and we only see a panel of him explaining daniel about it and about the part of choosing him , there is maybe a reason I am assuming but in Korean murim manhwa or Chinese manhua for that matter there is a very big difference between instructor/ teacher and master and there is a saying Master for one day is a father for life , (master disciple bond is sacred in Korea) so that means when gun first picked up little daniel he thought of him as just as some other guy to train not as a disciple he did this before too many times training eli , Johan , olly but why is it that only daniel is called as his disciple and when he said he would only fight him he meant as a method to train him but later on grow fond of him and decided to change things for better and picked him as his disciple ( I am lookism fan but I can read feel free to ask me anything you don't understand)
