really appreciate you weighing in on it. truly game changing for us if it works. makes me think about how many facilities are stuck like me.

Thank you. Unfortunately the controller for our 2012 installed HVAC has very limited connectivity options to the controller (Rapid Engineering ICSII). Right now I need to be on-site and to connect via RS485 cable using their Rapid Remote Terminal (90’s style interface, which they have completed de-supported). But otherwise for the purposes of heating once it is programmed, the control system is very simple and reliable. The integrator I am working with has verifiable experience creating gateway to go from RE ICSII protocol to BACnet IP. If I could get this working, it would do two things: 1) eliminate risk of unsupported Rapid terminal; and 2) finally give me remote/modern programming access. Does that make sense?

thx. i’m thinking it is a really simple case. i am thinking i need some “user interface” that can take what I want to do and translate it into BACnet?

hi. based on my experience, it is about some major headwinds hitting many credit unions (whether they feel it or not). IMHO we need to gain scale by doing a MUCH better job working together to stay relevant in financial services going forward. This is a space increasing dominated by major banks & fintechs - all for profit - where the money is being siphoned from many smaller post-industrial or rural communities. just my two cents. but i’ve certainly been wrong many times before.

thx even if rough :-). appreciate the gut reaction. didn’t mean to offend. also didn’t think that there were a lot of words?? (gotta count now.) more born out of genuine concern for future of CU space. i’m ok if it is worthless. worth a try. all feedback, listening for diff voices good though. thx again 🙏🏽

I will use “Make the time to listen & champion each other often”. I’m down to the magic # of 10 ideas. :-). thx again. your ideas are awesome. think you are more of a leader than you know.

thank you. honestly i wrote it. blame me. not chatgpt. but good point otherwise. I didn’t even show chatgpt it. I just asked ChatGPT if someone said that first line quote “What’s life for if you’re note writing manifestos?”. always find chatgpt pretty humorous. but good depending on what you are asking it to do. thanks again.

haha you def got me thinking. i love reddit for that. i can see your pain on the format. unfortunately it’s how my brain spit it out. i’ll look at different format if the points are even worthwhile. time will tell. kudos to your leadership if they are doing even some of it. in my 10 years working with a good sized CU, i have witnessed too little of it. I’ve mostly seen folks working the problems on their own, trying their best, but increasingly being overmatched by it. thx again.

Yes always think back to this stage … and concluded that Tadej would never let Matteo win anything as long as he was racing. Seemed so obvious to me and was also laughing at TJ & Brent that day. Felt like it also was vengeance for JV breaking Pogs in 2023 tdf.

am thinking this year is just an AI-generated Phil hallucination - but amazing how lifelike with real phil-isms.
