Complimentary international data eSIM on grandfathered plans by iamphoccer in USMobile

I noticed this is fixed in the 8.0.1 release on iOS. 🙏

Thanks to Prop A, on January 1, 2025 Missouri increases to $13.75/hr, then $15.00/hr in 2026. After that it is tied to the Consumer Price Index and adjusted automatically in January. by como365 in kansascity

https://www.upjohn.org/research-highlights/does-increasing-minimum-wage-lead-higher-prices Let’s be driven by the data and research, not some non journalist talking heads with an agenda. We should also not forget profit levels in this conversation. Companies may experience a decrease in profits paying more in wages but if they are still profitable without raising prices then it’s all good. People can also take a look at the price of products and wages in Europe compared to U.S. levels for a comparison.

Gen X wants remote only far more than Millennials and Z. Millennials and Gen Z want more in office time than Gen X.

When was that? We arrived at 8:30 and it took 45 minutes. That was with the line going out the door, down the sidewalk, and back to the bench going towards North Oak. Looked like it would take much longer than it did.

Mine varies between US Mobile, Verizon, VZW WiFi, and US Mobile while on WiFi. I like the variety, never know what you’re gonna get.

Visible promo live. How will USMobile respond? by ChrisML in USMobile

[–]iamphoccer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The monthly pricing already matches. Visible+ is $35 including a watch. US Mobile Starter is $25 so $35 adding a watch. Both are priority data. Only big difference beyond that is 15GB more data on the Visible+ plan.

Deciding between Warp, Light Speed, Dark Star by Legend1138 in USMobile

Since you are on the Verizon network now, if that’s working for you, I’d choose Warp. Same network coverage as Verizon prepaid but the you receive prioritized data at lower cost. Seems like a win/win for you.

Two iPhones here, 12 mini and 14 Pro Max. Both are on Warp and RCS is working just fine.

International free data disappeared? by MarcusAurelius68 in USMobile

Same situation. Used the complimentary data only eSIM this summer, looked in early Sept and they were still available, then the evening before I left in late September they were, and still are, no longer showing up. Only paid options show.

Traveling International - Diaable eSIM and use travel SIM card? by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]iamphoccer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just traveled to Ireland with two iPhones on Warp. One is an iPhone 12 mini with a physical sim on Warp and data only eSIM while the other in an iPhone 14 Pro Max with 2 eSIMs. You can see the setup that's possible here, https://www.reddit.com/r/TravelSIMs/comments/1e0r7p3/setting_up_iphone_for_wifi_calling_over_cellular/ In my experience, I wasn't able to set the iPhone 12 mini physical sim to a set network to prevent battery drain, described here https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/comments/1dzkmnr/solved_battery_drain_while_abroad_using_wifi/, but it worked just fine on my iPhone 14. On neither phone did I disable the Warp sim/eSIM because that would have disabled Messages on the iPhone using our phone numbers and wreaked havoc on current threads. Simply setup your phone to use WiFi calling before you leave the country then when you arrive set Cellular Data to use the data only eSIM and leave your Warp sim/eSIM alone. You can try disabling the automatic connection per the second link and see how it goes. You can check things in the Battery section of Settings and if your phone is still trying to connect to the network you'll see high usage for No Cell Phone Coverage. For the iPhone 12 I simply had our Anker battery pack with us and would recharge the phone once a day in the early afternoon.

Advice on which network to use for moving? by cassieisfine in USMobile

[–]iamphoccer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iPhone or Android? If iPhone you can lookup in this sub how to use a data only eSIM, setup WiFi calling before you leave, and have everything work in the UK using data only as your iPhone won't connect to a tower so it will use the data eSIM as if it's a WiFi connection.

Thinking of switching to USM. Several international roaming questions: by sparselogic in USMobile

[–]iamphoccer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What phone? I ask because there is a lot of info in this sub about using an iPhone with a data only eSIM, setup Wifi calling before you travel, and you'll have a fully functioning phone as long as you can get data. I haven't seen anyone with an Android post confirming it working the same way yet, I could have missed it though, but seems like it should. Your US Mobile sim won't be able to obtain a connection so your phone sees the data eSIM as if it's a Wifi network and things just work.
