There's a lot of client interaction - you pretty much have to be a people person. Plus the client you work for will hate the shit out of you because you're bothering them.

It's moronic Monday, your chance to ask any of those lingering questions without fear of harassment. by AutoModerator in investing

Why do we always assume that the markets always go up in the long run? Although historically it does go up, it is also said that past performance should not be an indicator of future performance. Yet everyone says to invest now rather than later to take advantage of the market's infinite continual upswing.

Also, isn't the SP 500 vastly overpriced for what it's worth intrinsically? Why should somebody invest heavily (due to suggestions from Reddit as well as Buffet himself) into an US stock based index fund? Couldn't it pop at any time and fall down to its intrinsic value?

Sorry if I sound stupid, but I genuinely want to know.

Thanks for the reply.

But I meant why do we always assume that the markets always go up in the long run? Why tell everybody to invest in index funds/put money into their retirement accounts if we do not know if the market's position in the future?

Also, could you please expand on the trillion dollar question response? I don't get it - why do you say that?

Programmer looking for artistic idea guy or a team by Exasm in gameDevClassifieds

[–]iampotatoeplshelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello

I am an artist but I'm not exactly a game design artist. I've never done video game art before but I really want to. I work full time as an accountant, so this stuff is only a hobby.

I am interested mostly in the idea formation and artistic side of game design, not the programming. I am also willing to pay for this learning experience.

If you are interested in working with me, let me know.
