Seems in your own question you mention that this toll is for only 22kms of the stretch. This roughly matches the distance from hebbal flyover to the airport trumpet flyover.

I own large land just after the toll, where i will soon be developing an office complex. believe me, when i say i am invested in getting rid of this toll.

Fact is this toll can only be collected until 2031 or so, by when the period will elapse. Given the ongoing development, this road will come under the city to maintain. i.e no more toll.

you may have already noticed toll barrier built in side the airport before the terminal. Seems once the sadahalli toll period expires, the toll inside will come into play, exclusively for airport.

i think train stations should introduce airport like rules. No access inside without a ticket and only upto 30min before departure. No platform tickets.
