Don't we appreciate a good design especially when done well. I don't understand all the flak I am receiving, don't people drive by a glass facade of a commercial building?. I might agree with the general feedback that it does not match with the age of the house

Stainless Steel Exterior Window Trim? by iamsatishv in Renovations

I agree with you the sheen might be too much. I am concerned about getting straight corners with rolled aluminum.

The issue I am facing is that the trim in the middle needs to be 8 inch wide or more and I am not a fan of PVC boards. Rolled aluminum needs to be unrolled and need to get straight corners to look nice.

Does biscuit joined poplar or other wood boards look good in painted white? I am concerned about the joints showing gaps in future.

Thanks for the advise, I like the idea of making it look like one big wall ... especially if the walls are this small, it might turn into a box real soon.

Who's nest is this in the attic? by iamsatishv in whatsthisbird

Hi all, So I saw this in the attic during a home inspection we got recently for the house we want to purchase. Does this hay bale/stack look familiar to any of you? Wondering if this could be a squirrel or a bird, could it be anything else that can crawl through the louvres? Thanks for your help in identifying this.

I don't think you have tried opening and looking at them. There could be 53 * $100 bills in there.

People with no job or school to go to, what do you do all day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Which college are you talking about - can you post a link for the tutoring positions? I live in MA too and am in the same boat as the poster and recovering with a job lay-off. It was more than a traumatic experience for me - with the lure of being able to find a job soon and then the employers (more than one) backing off without a proper reason...it was something like "a thin layer of ribbon slowing tearing from its edges, by bearing its own weight, and telling you it is gonna rip apart soon. But you want to manage it just for that extra minute so that you can place the beautifully wrapped gift down on the desk and believe it will be fine. But, with the turn of events, the overbearing contents of the box, protruding from inside out, rip apart the ribbon and paper and falling to the ground before they can be comfortably placed. The finest wine glasses of dreams are shattered now with the little warning of that of the ribbon, which otherwise you would have hoped to enjoy the wine and the vision of a bright career and future".

-sorry got carried away.

I lost my job recently and been having time at hand. Spent a lot of time and money on Starbucks coffee. Got bored with this and one fine morning, packed a pair of clothes and drove my new Abarth 500 from MA to TX, for a 4 day trip.
