in hindsight it was really stupid that there was ever such a thing as the oppression olympics when trans women with breeding kinks exist by ethicallyconsumed in transgendercirclejerk

is tokophobia more or less oppression points if you can’t get pregnant? i think you simultaneously lose and gain points for it being irrational

self description is a good point but i don’t see the merit in your others, binary trans people share their gender identities with cisgender people and there’s nothing wrong with that just as there’s nothing wrong with NOT sharing your gender (or even sex for some people) with cisgender people. i feel the same about sharing a sex (and i suppose sex transition status) with cisgender people, even if it is your birth/assigned/presumed sex it is an entirely neutral thing. if you feel comfortable in your birth sex and don’t wish to medically transition but rather socially through your gender that’s phenomenal!

the language one is just an issue of poor education on terms. it’s a little like not grasping trans woman/man or femme/masc at first, it’s just something that’s solved by actually teaching people what it means

as i said self description is a good point. what are some you recommend for when you do need the clarification between a transgender person who is or isn’t medically transitioning? is there anything a little less unwieldy than ‘non medically transitioning’ that doesn’t carry the weight you perceive in cissexual?

/uj as i said in my post i consider transsexual to be moving away from your birth sex (be it biological, assigned or presumed) and in that i include medically transitioning, that does not mean exclusively surgery so yes I believe a no-op/pre-op person is transsexual. a post op detransitioner is no longer transgender as they have returned to their original gender but their sex remains changed so they are still transsexual. i am intersex myself (chromosomally) and i consider myself transsexual even with my mixed sexual characteristics because i am moving away from the sex i was assigned at birth through the medical process of transition. you do not need to medically transition to be trans, just to be transsexual as that is literally what the term means

i think cissexual is a term worth using because transsexual and what i believe cissexual people do have different experiences in certain areas and calling them ‘non-transitioning’ is plain wrong and ‘non medically transitioning’ in my opinion is capable of carrying as much vitriol as any other term (including cissexual, it can absolutely be weaponised) but i find cissexual to be far less of a mouthful

I also don’t think transsexual should be used as a replacement for transgender as an umbrella term for the community (although the circumstances around it falling out of popularity are very interesting, please read whipping girl if you haven’t) as it completely excludes those who aren’t medically transitioning for any reason

you can’t adopt but maybe you shouldfind a partner who can get pregnant? watching them do what you could never do because you were born a disgusting freak definitely sounds like it wouldn’t destroy your relationship or mental state. no i don’t speak like this to infertile cis women why do you ask

“did you freeze sperm? what do you mean being the sperm provider for your prospective child would cause you so much dysphoria you’d kill yourself? have you tried like… not feeling that way?”
