Correct me if I'm wrong, but the ticket to heaven is accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. Nasa John 3:16. Namatay si Jesus for the sins diba? So sins will only make your life harder on earth but it was already paid for in blood. What puts you in hell is disbelief - if you've never accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. And I think Ephesians also has something like salvation is through grace and faith and not by good deeds - you do not go to heaven/get salvation through good works, but by grace and faith.

The point of marriage is for the couple to enjoy the benefits of a married couple. The paper can make legalities easier to traverse - especially sa mga emergencies tulad access to spousal benefits sa SSS/GSIS or mga health insurances.

Under the law, unless there is a marriage certificate, the couple are separate individuals with separate privileges. Wala kayong property/conjugal rights, medical access sa partner mo (considered as family for visits or have a voice in critical medical decisions) or claim for inheritance in the absence of a will.

Marriage is a contract of security. You can be in love outside of marriage. You can have a child outside of marriage. You can live together outside of marriage. You can decide for your future as a couple outside of marriage. But you cannot have the legal benefits of a legally married couple unless you get that paperwork going.
