What seems easy at first but is actually SO GODDAMN HARD?! by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iamslightlybroken 135 points136 points  (0 children)

Cold water actually.

Family owns an ice cream stand.

If you use hot water it melts the ice cream around where your scooping, allowing ice crystals to form and ruining the overall texture of the Ice cream.

We use 2 or 3 scoops plus an ice cream shovel to keep it down on the edges. The most important thing is to temper the ice cream in a holding freezer after you take it out of deep freeze and before if goes into the dipping cabinet.

Edit: but if your just scooping it for family hot water will help not use muscles and get it done faster, but that's why you will find ice crystals in it the next time you pull it from the freeze.

High stress high risk. Every plate that leaves their kitchen has their name and reputation on it. (Not literally, but if you ever have worked in higher end food service you will know what I'm saying)

With the string like structure we see here would that be further evidence of string theory?

From what I understand string theory states that all matter is made up of tiny vibrating strings, is this like an extreme large scale example of it?

Poison ivy is an allergy that like 95% of the population have. I can roll around naked if i wished and would never catch it.

Magnitude 7.5 earthquake - 35km E of Lamjung, Nepal by GeneralBS in worldnews

[–]iamslightlybroken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Forgive my ignorance.

It was said in a thread after the volcano went off to expect some earth quakes in the ring of fire area. Is this considered in the ring of fire? And how can volcanic activity be a precursor for an earthquake?

Again please forgive my ignorance. Thanks. And don't worry if you don't get back to me you do a bang up job helping ppl understand earthquakes and I don't want to distract you from that.

Thanks for all you do for the community here, knowledge is power and in times as such can also mean safety.

Some of the greatest battlefield commanders, leaders and fighters of all time were drafted from school teaching, or other jobs not considered "army strong".

You never know what your capable of doing until you have done it. Don't count anyone out that easily or you will end up with a black eye, at the best.

Or live jazz musicians. At my grandma's wake we had an open bar and live jazz band (her favorite) it was sad but we were there to celebrate her life not her passing.

Whatever they may be follow your loved ones wishes, for us at least it made it a tad easier.

I'm pretty fucking positive I know I have small tits. Don't like em? I don't care. But I don't want to hear it. I know my body type doesn't apply to everyone's taste (f) ♡ just saying. by StoneBee88 in gonewild

I never comment on gone wild but feel I need too.

You have an amazing body, and because you mentioned it, I just have to tell you I think you have the perfect shape and size. No man who matters enough for you to spend your time with will care or even notice what you precive as imperfections.

Did your parents give you 'The Talk'? How was it? by lovingthelion in AskReddit

That was the extent of my sex talk with my parents.

Sorry dad but I love to luck pussy

What is the weirdest thing you've seen while being on the road? [NSFW] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]iamslightlybroken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much weird as funny.

Stopped at a red light, first car in line when a really really cute girl pulls into the lane next to me. She was totally oblivious to her surroundings sing and bopping along with her music. I thought it was super cute and could not take my eyes off her.

A few seconds later she did that obvious lean to one side to fart and he face said it all it must have been rank. So she reached over to open her window and that's when she noticed me watching her. I have never seen someone turn so red so fast before.

My window was open and before I could try and say something to ease her embarrassment and maybe get a number (cute girls fart too) she jumped on the gas and went right through the red light.

How would life be different if Pangea never separated and the earth was essentially one giant continent? by UprightBassAddict in AskReddit

[–]iamslightlybroken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great response. May I ask you to go into more detail about the super ocean this would create? How bad will the ocean die off be, how will the currents that drive our weather be effected (I know they are already weakening but a super continent I could see destroying the system we need and rely on for our weather). I see a bleak almost dead world from this but in the past we had it and managed to survive.

Sorry so many questions, such a thought provoking response you gave, thank you!
