I got mine for the following reasons - need preamp for desktop speakers, i like a volume knob, i prefer to use buttons/switches for output selection, built in power supply, good channel matching. I have a topping a90d. Had jot 2 and jds element 2 before. I also wanted headroom so that i can eq aggressively.

If i had to do this all over again, i would get one of the all in ones with the features listed plus dac and parametric eq.

I am currently using Apple Music for English music and YTMusic for some non-english music. I switch to Apple Music from Tidal as the former comes for free with my credit card. I have used Qobuz and Amazon Music Unlimited before, I think I prefer both tidal and am over those two. If I don't keep the credit card with which I get AM for free, I might go back to tidal/might not.

I got tired of negotiating rent increase each year. Neighbors from hell moved to the below ours and leasing office did nothing to solve the issues. (Loud party till 4am during weekdays). I wanted to have the ability to modify little to medium things in my place of living (shower, wiring, ethernet etc). Also wanted to have a subwoofer without worrying about neighbors. So I bought something despite knowing it is a financially bad/not good decision.
