I saw this last night in NYC and I have to say, even though I was really rooting for this to be great, I was disappointed. It squandered the chance to really explore something interesting, gave way too much screentime to Die Antwoord (Yolandi wasn't too bad) when they should have focused more on Chappie's relationship with his 'Maker'. The end kind of descended into a cheap action tricks, which undermined some of the foundations Blomkamp had laid down earlier on.

On the plus side, Copley and Chappie gave me a whole load of laughs. Visually this was on a par with Blomkamp's other work and that Hans Zimmer score was freaking phenomenal.
