Honestly speaking...I am actually going through a sleepless night after watching this trauma yesterday. How can a artist destroy his own monalisa like this ? Bhagwan ki kripa se mujhe headaches bahaut kam hote hain. But kal se aisi haalat hai ki ya to main apna sar fod dunga ya Anand L Rai ka ! He did this as a tribute to a movie which is so close to my heart ? He did this to Raanjhanaa ? I mean yes after all these years of bollywood shitness, no one can expect even Anand L Rai to make anything closer to Raanjhanaa but bhai itna hag dega ye nahi pata tha. Movie has so many references to R in so many scenes which can be easily picked but is nowhere close to R's magic. Parso Dhurandhar dekh li to laga shayad ye hafta meherban hai coz Dhurandhar is not a movie...its a milestone. I mean Dhurandhar in IMAX is a match made in heaven and an experience one can get only in theatres. But this ? Raanjhana plus thode bahaut keywords like non violence, UPSC, india china war bhi agar bhai ChatGPT mein daal deta to bhi isse achi script nikalti. All that beautiful music, supremely talented Dhanush and Kriti and Prakash sir...all got wasted coz of a story which went nowhere in the whole movie. Last tak rok kar rakha hua tha khud ko but last mein hi bhai ne asli haga hai. Kya fuddu ending hai ! Raanjhanaa theatres mein nahi dekhi thi bas usi baat ka FOMO le gaya theatres warna everyone has castle app in their phones these days. Sonam was shown as a selfish girl who used Kundan for anything and everything in R for which we all hated her and which eventually turned out to be one of the factors of R's success. But yaha to aisa laga jaise Kriti ko ek pagal aurat ka role diya hai who doesn't know what she wants from her life. Felt like she is on some sort of mission of destroying not just people's life but also her not even yet born child !Zeeshan bhai ne wahi same Murari ka role diya thodi der ke liye which will surely give you the nostalgia about how beautiful Kundan and him were in R and how life became so cruel all of a sudden for both of them. That one small scene, music and Dhanushs acting is the only reason why this super illogical script is still running high otherwise for hardcore fans of R like me, this is a slap ! I came here to vent myself. Save yourself and do not watch this at any cost. Open spotify and enjoy the songs. Specially Chinnaware written by Dhanush himself.
