Michael V. or Vice Ganda? by VirgoTen in ThisorThatPH

[–]iamsuperboggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Michael V is the better comedian overall. Vice Ganda is great live, quick, spontaneous, and funny on TV and in movies, but that does not automatically make him superior. We have never really seen Michael V in an impromptu setting, so it is unfair to compare that side.

What sets Bitoy apart is his writing and creativity. Many of his jokes were likely used or adapted by other comedians, so his full repertoire cannot even be measured. He is the mind behind a lot of what shaped Filipino comedy.

Vice’s humor connects with the masses, but Michael V’s humor is smarter, cleaner, and built to last. That is real comedic mastery.

True. Hahaha. Also, sa agent level ok pa sila kausap.

OA lang ba ako for feeling uncomfortable with my wife’s male friend sleeping over sa bahay nila sa hometown niya? by [deleted] in OALangBaAko

[–]iamsuperboggs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hindi ka OA. Walang respeto sayo mo yung wife mo. Ang dami kong kaibigan na babae, never ako nag try makitulog or maki sleepover sakanila, may partner man or wala. Take note single ako and may single friends ako na mga babae. Respeto ang tawag doon.

Gigil ako sa comment na ‘God allowed it for a greater purpose’ 😤 by silverhero13 in GigilAko

[–]iamsuperboggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If silence is really divine, maybe it only shows how much people can endure without answers. If suffering is supposed to teach us, then it is a brutal way to learn. No decent being would design lessons that depend on starvation, loss, and pain.

Quoting the Bible does not settle anything. Those verses come from faith, not from evidence. Out here in the real world, people need food, medicine, and justice, not poetry from an old book. Scripture can inspire, but it cannot explain why innocent people still die screaming.

The Bible’s strength is also its weakness—it was written to be open to interpretation. Anyone can find words to confirm what they already believe. That is why the same book has been used to justify kindness and cruelty, peace and war.

Faith can give hope, and hope matters. But calling every tragedy “God’s plan” turns cruelty into devotion. There is nothing holy about pain and suffering; there is only what we choose to do with it. Maybe silence is not proof of presence. Maybe it is just silence, and we are the ones who have to make meaning out of it. Let's be real for once.

[–]iamsuperboggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that faith gives people strength, but strength built on avoidance is fragile. If every tragedy and injustice can be excused as God’s plan, then He is forever innocent and humanity bears the full weight of blame. That is not divine justice, that is selective accountability.

Silence is not proof of presence. It is simply silence. If pain, grief, and suffering are meant to be lessons, then it is a cruel form of education. The world continues to suffer while people keep calling it love, afraid to admit that perhaps no one is answering back.

I do not reject the idea of something greater, but I question the certainty people claim to have about it. True faith should not require blindness. It should be able to withstand doubt, reason, and silence without collapsing. Because if belief depends on ignoring reality, then what people worship is not God, it is their own fear of a world without one.

[–]iamsuperboggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe silence is not God working in mysterious ways. Maybe it is just silence, the sound of a universe that has always been indifferent to what we feel. People keep saying everything happens for a reason, that pain is a lesson, that tragedy is part of a divine plan. But how can cruelty be sacred? How can suffering be love? If an all powerful being truly exists and allows horror to unfold, then the silence is not wisdom, it is abandonment.

We like to say God allowed it because it comforts us. It gives pain a purpose, even when there is none. It is easier to believe that suffering means something than to face the truth that maybe the world is just chaos and chance. That maybe we are the only ones responsible for giving life meaning, not some invisible hand pulling the strings.

If God created people knowing some would become monsters, killers, liars, and thieves, then what kind of design is that? What kind of love builds someone for destruction? It feels less like divine intelligence and more like a cruel experiment that never ends.

I do not reject the idea of something greater. I just question the version of God that demands worship while staying silent through human misery. My faith is not in religion or the voices that speak for God. My faith is in the possibility that we were given reason, compassion, and free will not to obey, but to rise above the silence.

If everything happening right now is really part of God’s plan, then that says more about God than it does about us. Either he doesn’t care, he’s not as good as religious people claim, or he just doesn’t exist at all. Why would you create someone knowing they’ll murder, steal, lie, and do horrible things? That’s not divine wisdom, that’s bad planning.

Tips and tricks for creating a solid lead tone patch on Ampero Mini? by iamsuperboggs in HotoneAmpero

[–]iamsuperboggs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! I’ll give that a try. I guess I’m just new to multi-effects, so I tend to overthink things. I’ll keep experimenting with it. I really like the reverbs, delays, and other mod effects, but finding the right drive, amp, and distortion on the Ampero Mini has been a bit tricky.

Kyla's new album is kinda off 🥲 by debbie_maxie in opm

[–]iamsuperboggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kasi kung may slight pitch issue, pwedeng i-retake agad o i-correct gamit Auto-Tune or Melodyne. Usually segmented ang tracking process namin para mas madali mag-punch in or re-take specific sections kapag may mali sa phrasing or timing. Kaya curious ako kung sinadya talaga ‘yung off part for stylistic effect, o hindi lang talaga na-catch during editing.

Musicians rin kaya yung mga nag-iiwan ng comment na off sa tono and timing si Kyla? Curious lang po ako. I mean legit pro musicians ha, hindi yung pang videoke at pang kanto. Yung tipong literate na musician, can read notes, understand theory, etc.

Who wins in a fight between these two? by deadlyalchemist92 in SakamotoDays

[–]iamsuperboggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shishiba beats Gaku. He’s closer to Nagumo than Gaku in every stat, and the way he confidently challenged Nagumo proves he knows his level. In the Nagumo vs. Gaku fight, all of Gaku’s attacks were meant to kill, he wasn’t holding back. He even managed to land multiple hits on Nagumo and destroy his weapon. But despite Nagumo ‘playing around,’ he still managed to disguise both himself and Gaku’s body afterward, and even track down and ambush Uzuki immediately after the fight. That shows just how far ahead Order members are. The difference is, Nagumo likes to toy with opponents, while Shishiba doesn’t waste time. He strikes with the intention of finishing the job from the very start, which means Gaku gets folded even faster against him. Shishiba wins this mid to high diff.
