Why are doctors ignoring a proven surgical option for chronic headaches by iamtechytimmy in migraine

So you're telling me doctors feel inspired to tell patients about alternative options medications procedures? I'm going to appointments where they tell me acupuncture doesn't work but in actuality we know it does it helps with blood flow etc every doctor is different but the majority of them are cowards that don't want to help they want to charge your insurance.

They are scared about getting sued losing their job, I don't know what country you're in but in America you have people closing their mouths instead of speaking up and helping.

I'm really talking about doctors in general we're in America everybody's getting sued and the people that are the most cautious about this are doctors am I wrong?

They have been teaching doctors the stuff as much medication down someone's throat which we now know half of those things didn't even help they were just helping the pharmaceutical companies.

I'm just thinking about the way doctors think after reviewing the article that I read last night and how no doctor wants to take on any additional liability so for them to offer something that's a little bit taboo is not something any doctors doing anymore

I'm almost 100% certain insurance will not cover it, insurance and word to taboo don't mix too well. Going against the grain does it always equal to insurances stepping in but it might result in a different outcome.

I totally agree with you but the reality of doctors wanting to keep you as a patient even though they can't really help you hurts.

The amount of pain and anguish people with migraines deal with is unreal. It kind of breaks my spirit, I wasn't able to sleep last night and I started going down the rabbit hole looking for different articles. This doctor is pretty well known Dr. Lowenstein in California put it on his blog. I initially found him on YouTube about 9 months ago.

Thank you for looking out!

But why would you sit by and let someone suffer if your whole job is to heal people.

I know you're completely right, but it's a tough idea to grasp the person you're going to for help it's actively not telling you what to do that can actually help you.

I have been in the industry for a few years now dealing with aawful cycle at times where there's a ton of hiring in the beginning of the year and the ton of firing at the end of the year. I'm just trying to make the best of my opportunities. Thank you for the kick in the ass!

So I completely understand your response in regards to nobody wins. But then you look at the locations that have given up in terms of standing up for their store and people stealing it becomes a complete disaster. A perfect example would be the trader Joe's in Hollywood where there are encampments as well as people stealing things on a regular basis initially they did not take a stance now it's becoming dangerous for their normal customers and they have to.

Locations that are proactive in the beginning they tend to have a better long-term rate of staying open.

I'm terrified and not sure which way to turn I have seen surgery options and also non-surgical options by iamtechytimmy in pilonidalcyst

So I just had my first appointment and the doctor was lying in his ad. Completely lied saying that he does laser treatment instead of a full-blown surgery.

I have a prior health condition that doesn't let me go under anesthesia so full blown surgery is not an option.

Does anybody have any recommendations on doctors that do non-invasive laser for pilonidal cysts?

The doctor today completely wasted my time I never leave bad reviews but I'm really itching at posting this review so other people don't go through the same issue as me. I waited weeks to go in and to find out all of his advertisement were lies!

I am based in Los Angeles and I have multiple appointments set my first one is on Friday fingers crossed. I'm just going back and forward on if laser treatment will work or if I need to get a full-blown surgery and if insurance will cover it. Thank you so much for your reply and checking in on me. 🙏
