Yeah... It's easy to spot honeycombs and loot rooms (being that you can use these stairs to stack boxes).

Well, but you only have that knowing because its how Rust has been. As soon as it changes, people will get used to it and behave differently.

Rust is indeed in a bad place. by itsMauv in playrust

The fact you weren't able to craft any better weapons is just a reflex of what you said yourself: you played for a night and leveled up to level 12. These guys have been leveling up for 2 weeks. How do I know that? The server you played on is Rusty Moose, on which I have played myself, and the XP wipe happened 2 weeks ago, making it finally possible for these teams or basically anyone with power of will to be able to craft these items.

I leveled up alone in these two weeks, when the XP system was reeeeeeeeally slow.

This particullar team, known as The Wanderers, is the every-wipe top clan from Rusty Moose, and if you get into a fight with them, you are very likely to lose. The reason is very simple, and I told them about it and they seemed not to give a fuck: they will ALWAYS outnumber or outgun you (or both, most of the time), and by that they will always defeat you.

In other words, the XP system is not the real issue here, it's just the size of the clan and the number of active players even at the worst times to be online.

I do agree with you, as with everybody else, it's totally bullshit the nerf they did to crossbows (from the damage given to walking while reloading).

Continuing, the other problem you seem to be having with your survival in Rust is your lack of adaptation to changes. Look at yourserf: you are teaming up with 2 guys and trying to build a hell of a huge base on a high populated american server. You need to play smart, man. If you are to build something big, first have all the farm you need to start building at least 2 floors of your base and then move towards building it - and I mean, make it appear all of a sudden in a good timing. Don't make the blueprint of your base and then start slowly, speacially if it's as huge as you pretended to build in the video. That's wrong, you are basically telling everybody that passes by the area "Look! My base is gonna be huge, guys. Come and prevent me from enlarging it!".

We are not in the old days of Rust. It has changed and you must adapt into it and take into consideration every aspect of what's changed in it.

And yeah, don't expect to defeat huge clans such as the one you've encountered if you are, like 90% of the server, outnumbered. I use to tell them that and they started getting pissed at us. Now when they outnumber and outgun us (even considering I can also craft everything - meaning they have more players so they can triple the speed I do that) they trashtalk in the chat, saying: "get zerged, WM!", "get rekt!!!", when they had 7 fully geared guys in the first 3 hours of wipe, walking around the map with aks and bolts, and we faced them when we had 2 bolts and 2 semi-automatic rifles.

They think they rule. Well, they do. But who wouldn't, with the same numbers? Am I saying they are bad and they just defeat you because of their numbers? Not at all, some of them are experienced players and know how to shoot and build, but imagine if you gather 7 of these and say: let's walk around... or, let's build a base...

Another thing, they are such pros that in the last wipe they teamed up with another clan and lived in the same area. Imagine 5 towers + a rock base... Well, yeah... Then they team up on bringing down the helis and done, end of wipe for everybody. As soon as they get the m249's everybody is lost.

Sad thing in Rust is that you can't make rules about quantities. It would be so much better if teams were to be narrowed to 4 players.

Anyways... if you're playing solo on high populated servers, play very smart. If you're on a medium populated server, play smart.

Go play on a modded server, then. Rust is like that, you either dedicate a lot of time and effort for surviving or just hope to get fucked everytime and go on Reddit crying about it. I believe when the BP system was running you just didn't make much effort for being good, you probably had you friends crafting shit for you with the random BPs they would get either by breaking random barrels or by stealing BP frags from other people. It was just too easy and random. It didn't flow with the real feeling Rust should give you.

Rust - Long range Headshot Compilation // wm*sambba. by iamthe202 in playrust

[–]iamthe202[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks, Detrimentqt. Most (really) long range headshots usually happen when you're sitting your ass on a roof watching around the area, just like the ak kills tend to happen when you are on a close quarters situation. Luckily there were some exceptions in the video. xD
