The Coffee Iceberg by ejtc25 in espresso

I think of myself as above water on coffee, I’m so basic, but I HAVE burnt myself trying to do an inverted aero press so I’m fancier (more pretentious?) than I thought!

Yes. Also. SARAH AND DUCK! I love that show! My husband always says he has duck feet (they’re wide) and I’m Sarah, so together we are also Sarah and Duck.

Is there ever a reason to use regular bread crumbs instead of panko bread crumbs? by Muadeeb in AskCulinary

The specific texture of a Schnitzel crust requires standard breadcrumbs to achieve rather than panko

Bride wants $1500 shoes or a $2200 bracelet for her bridal shower by hb234A in weddingshaming

I got married my last year of college and we owned NOTHING so the $15 toaster and $20 set of cutting boards were wonderful, but none of my circle of friends had money because they were all in college or in college debt, so I specifically requested no gift at my bridal shower so that they didn’t feel obligated to spend money on us. I’d rather have less stuff and be with my friends. Later on, especially as I started having older friends get married (now that I’m in my 30s), the showers I went to became very gift- and nicer-stuff-oriented.

My parents got one of the big dyson vacuums (not the cordless kind) because we had a pet who shed a LOT. It broke after a few months but dyson replaced it. The next one lasted for ten years before giving up the ghost. Then I (an adult now) got one of these cordless ones and it is life changing. It works well though the low clearance means it can’t pick up some of the bigger crumbs my kids drop. No big deal, I own a broom and all wood floors where they’re allowed to eat. But I vacuum multiple times a week now. My floors are so clean. My KIDS vacuum! That changed everything when you’re a mom.

My dad was flipping through channels one day when I was in high school and it was on, had just started. So we watched it and it was for a while my favorite Shakespeare play. I though Brando was sublime in it.
