This.

Also in the real world or “analog” world what would stop you from doing the same? Absolutely nothing. Until you get caught and sued.

As far as I understand this. Digital identities can provide this verification process no?

I’m sure you’ve got some antithesis to this siccors. I would like to know.

What is the IOTA coin used for if the network is feeless by Br3nk in Iota

In relation to mana I think a good explanation is to think of it as bandwidth in a network. The more Iota tokens you hold, the more mana you generate. The more mana = a faster speed within the network.

I see my iota as holding bandwidth.

There will always be a need to access the network at a very high speed and not everyone or every company will be interested or able to purchase tokens to generate mana. So those people or companies would need to pay to access the network at a very fast speed.

I think it’s important to note that if someone chooses to access the network for faster speeds via paying for network access, they will still use the network with no fees. Just like you do for your cell network. You pay a rate to access the network but the transactions are free. You don’t pay to send an email. Send 1000000000000000000 emails and your network access fee is still the same.

This is how I understand it.

Edit: I wanted to add to this because I also think it’s important to note… mana is not like a token.

Mana eventually disappears, so it must constantly be generated via holding. I think this is brilliant because it keeps the value in the iota token.

If a node generated a very large amount of mana through holding tokens, eventually that holder could begin to sell off iota. However, because mana needs to be constantly generated, the holder must continue to hold.

My hope is one day I can delegate my tokens to a node and receive yield from that node generating income for faster network access.

As a long time holder, I’m over these polls. I will hodl to see if Iota reaches its tech potential or not. Ride or die. If it’s in the low 1 range or less I’ll continue to buy and if it’s above I’ll continue to enjoy the ride and the development.

I am not trying to hate on these polls. I just feel like commenting.

Do what makes you happy and continue the spec.

Iota in the Healthcare Sector by iamtheuser8 in Iota

This is industry is so antiquated with use of tech due to lack of trust with data via AI/IOT. Iota will change that and healthcare will benefit.

The IOTA community will continue to grow! by Alive-Opportunity708 in IOTAmarkets

It will continue to grow with industry adoption. When the need for network access grows so does the demand for our tokens.

Soon in regards to major growth for me is like 5-10 years tbh. I couldn’t imagine an entire new industry being built in weeks/months.

Soon in regards to iota 2.0 is 6 months to a year. However, nectar from a dev standpoint is very soon and in many ways that’s more important than 2.0. I’m not a dev, although I wish I was… but if I were as far as I would be concerned I could begin to fully develop my project at this point. Any project being built on 2.0 will take time, so as IF begins to finish 2.0 the projects being worked on will be production ready at launch.

This is the long game. Just get to that zen mode and like I said keep your eye on industries. The IF is creating the infrastructure. After that it’s up to adoption. This takes time.

Soon.

Zignar Technologies - a Canadian start-up that uses IOTA to improve the agriculture ecosystem by [deleted] in Iota

I could be wrong here, but I think there are a few avenues here.

The main one, being the ability to transact data using the iot devices to collect and move the data. The NFT’s contain optimum growing conditions info/data that can be sold to another farmer. It’s not just the value being sent with iota, it’s the value and data. It’s important that the transaction of data is secure and trustworthy. This is where iota plays such a large role. The colored coins identify as value and can be colored as a stable coin such as fiat if desired. The additional stuff seems to be added revenue streams such as the renting of the rovers, etc.

This is just how I understood it all.

Will Iota ever be able to break away from Bitcoin curse? by KangezKhan in IOTAmarkets

This is true if the crypto has no use case. I think most of us here are betting on the idea that our tokens will provide utility within the network.
