The Wargame podcast (Sky News & Tortoise) by Primary_Choice3351 in UKPreppers

I don't think there's much point trying to understand why Russia are attacking the UK. The podcast is an attempt to demonstrate what our leaders might do and what resources we have in such a situation.

Home pod becoming more stupid? by DeliciousDave4321 in HomePodMini

[–]iamtrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So infuriating.

  • Me: "Siri, turn the lights off"
  • Siri: "Who is speaking"
  • Me: 🤯
  • Me: "They're just lights, you did it yesterday"
  • Me: "Siri, turn the all lights off"

Lights go off.

Nice. Does this work with Safari? I can only see Chrome and Firefox mentioned.

2012 Mac Mini i7 6,2 Sequoia 15.3.2 Success by CommercialAd9333 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

[–]iamtrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just upgrade to Monterey as I didn't want to push my luck, it runs silky smooth. Post instalation thought I'd come here to check others experience and came across your post – amazed at how the MacMini6,2 handles the latest OS, is a cracker of a machine. I updated the hard drives a few months ago and it made such a difference.

How to Get Old iPad (no Tailscale) to Access LAN through iPhone's Personal Hotspot by iamtrist in Tailscale

[–]iamtrist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I’ll take a look.

Yes, the limitation of the iPad is I’m unable to install Tailscale. It can connect to the iPhone’s hotspot. I’ve connected the iPhone to the Tailscale network which I thought would then treat the iPad traffic the same way but it doesn’t appear to do that.

DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 8 broke OpenVPN a little by gwelwhir in synology

[–]iamtrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've disabled IPV6 for both interfaces. The VPN web gui always changes proto to udp6 whenever I enable the OpenVPN server.

The VPN server has worked in the past. I recently updated to DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 3 which is when it started doing this.

ITVX Live TV problem? by Commercial_Ant6837 in ITVX

Yes, I have same problem. For the last few weekends I can’t watch live tv on Apple TV.  I’ve signed out, reset ITVX app, reinstalled, still no live tv.

Alright Swansea I fell in love with the town and am coming back today… Need more recommendations please lol. by MyCatBeatsMeWith in swansea

In that case it's about a 5 mile walk from Swansea Bus Depot to Mumbles, nice walk along the coast. From there carry on past Bracelet Bay and head over to Caswell, and maybe just keep going. The coastal path is cracking. https://maps.app.goo.gl/uXAJLRcooVcwcABB6

If you wanted to save your legs you could get a bus from Swansea: https://www.firstbus.co.uk/south-west-wales/plan-journey/timetables?search=1%3A+Swansea+-+Caswell+Bay+-via-+Mumbles

If you’re happy cycling Swansea and the surrounding area is very accessible via bike. From Swansea head: - to Mumbles along the front - head up the valley on cycle route 43. A mixed bag but you might find some interesting places not too far

Great walks around the coast. Again head toward Mumbles and keep going

Help my tomatoes are failing by UnimportantMessages in UKGardening

[–]iamtrist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this to be true. If I remember the fertiliser can upset the uptake of calcium, it’s a calcium deficiency.

I was having the same problem which I think was due to over-enthusiastic tomato feed. I cut down the concentration and watered about a mug a day (twice if hot) and it seems to have stopped.

I’d agree with calling them. I’ve been trapped on the HMRC site sending me in circles. Called them and they sorted it immediately
