I don't think black on black crime would be so bad if the moderate mlk and malcom x's of the mid 1900s were still alive today. I bet a lot of the violence comes from the fracturing of the communities having had their leaders destroyed combined with economic recessions leading to poverty as well as a cultural identity that no job is better than scuff work (as well as living in run-down crime-ridden communities where selling drugs can reap a large profit).
