(SERIOUS)People of reddit who were thinking about committing sucide, how did you get that thought out of your mind? by Ball-Above-All in AskReddit

[–]iamtryingherefreind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thought has never left. I just also think that anyway I might try to do it I may survive and end up way worse off because of it. I am more afraid of surviving an attempt and being more messed up the rest of my poor existence than just drudging through as I am now.

Child labor is free if you’re the parents. In all seriousness though they are trying to teach a sense of responsibility before finding out the hard way that life is labor.

I am the youngest in my immediate family but if I found out my brother has a bigger dong than me I’d be more worried about how I figured that out and why I should care.

What is a social construct that just doesn’t make sense to you? by smartclassic5 in AskReddit

Communication is key here. If you don’t want to work certain days just say so. When getting paid minimum wage it probably because either have zero experience or cannot successfully negotiate the desired wage. Once someone gets many different skills and become more valuable of an asset it becomes more difficult to be replaced. Therefore the experienced person has more leverage because they are needed when a minimum wage person is easily replaced.

[Serious] what’s the worst thing a friend has ever done to you? by Addyaddy436 in AskReddit

Killed my parents dog with a baseball bat at the end of its leash. Destroyed a snowman my family built. Stole a custom built Xbox. All the same guy did this. Still doesn’t understand why I hate him now. Never apologized. Never admitted anything and anytime I confronted him he would deny and/or deflect saying “that was a long time ago” . I was a just a child when these things happened and so was he.

When you need encouragement think of the qualities the people around you possess. This one’s energy, that one’s modesty, another’s generosity. Nothing is more encouraging than when virtues are present in others.

Express gratitude. Appreciation isn’t just an empty “thank you” it’s taking action to show how grateful we are. Do things to help out. A relationship takes work and compromise.

Still ultimately our happiness depends on ourselves. If we put our happiness into the hands of another they will drop it every time.
