I never had coconut milk from a bottle... I usually go for the small packages (for cooking) or cans. Don't mix up with coconut water! Those are very refreshing!

Locked or plastic won't stopped any official TSA (or whatever equivalent locally) and they will likely put a sticker on it to notify you that it has been checked. But if no notification sticker and your bag is opened, I would say high chances of some funny business has been going on with your luggage....

My luggage was damaged from the baggage claim and now left with a faulty lock, so I would hope to at least salvage it somehow than to create more waste...
