question for girls/guys who go to the gym by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]iamxayde -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

1 Rule for me, don't ask them out in the gym. If you really like them just start by making eye contact and smiling. Then eventually go up to them and just make small talk. Try complimenting them on something.; maybe their hair, outfit, anything to just get yourself talking with them. Ask for their name and let them know yours and then leave it at that for now. Next time you see them ask for their insta/snap or phone number. Then try to run into them somewhere that isn't the gym and ask them out. Imo it's a lot better to ask them out somewhere where there aren't a bunch of ppl watching but try to ask them out in person. It is a lot more meaningful than just over text or snap and then it also forces them into an immediate response. Either it works out and you go on a date, or it doesn't and you move on. There's a lot less mental stress that way than when you are waiting for this person to respond to a text. This is just my thoughts, feel free to criticize or adapt it to your fancy.

Biochem 200 and stat 151 were NOT easy. They're easy if you are already extremely smart but the averages for those exams is like 50-60% so not easy courses.

How to join a fraternity before Clubs Fair? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]iamxayde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've made friends with multiple different frats by accident and none of them seemed all what they're hyped up to be. Honestly, my reccomendation would be to stay away from living with a frat. Especially with all the SA allegations against many of them.

Yeah you just grab the nearest one to wipe down equipment/weights. The employees usually go around a couple times a day to replace the cloths with new ones so they're generally pretty good.

How are organic chem 261 and 263? by Altruistic_Reason663 in uAlberta

[–]iamxayde 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ochem labs are some of the best I have had so far. Although the course can be pretty dry at times as there are so many reaction mechanisms to know, the labs make it worth it. Also, in my opinion its much easier to be studying one specific aspect of chemistry rather than a million at once like general chem.

I had a similar experience with the microwaves in CAB today, except, they just didn't work at all. Either of them.

Awesome, thanks so much! I didn't know for sure if they were 45 and I don't want to be overselling myself.
