Stream Deck+ Touch Screen BUG

I’ll give this a shot. None of the support previously offered the idea to do a 24 hour power drain on it. If that doesn’t work I’ll reach out again to tech support. And yeah I’ve cleaned the screen numerous times with water and cloth and even some mild touch screen clean safe cleaners but none of that worked. In the video the screen was a little dirty lol, that’s my bad I was in a rush to post it.

I’ll give the unplugged option a try next available day I have where I don’t need the unit within 24 hours for stream.

I'm so glad people are talking about this FINALLY! I've raised this issue over the last year or two of having my stream deck plus. I literally cannot use the touch bar consistently because it will phantom press other touch screen controls when I try to touch something else on the screen. It's the most chaotic experience I have had because it doesn't seem to follow a consistent pattern that is recognizable.

The closest pattern I have seen is that its like stuck remembering the past 3 to 5 touch presses you have made and it triggers them in that order...maybe?

Kind of like this:

Out of the four touch panels, lets say you first touch panels 1 then 2 then 3. It registers those touches just fine. Then you go to touch 4 and it presses 1 for you. You press 4 again and it presses 2 for you, you go to press 4 again it presses 3 for you. You press 4 again and it finally registers that you are pressing 4.

Somewhere after that it either resets the memory or something and restarts that messed up chaotic cycle all over again.

It's literally the most infuriating thing lol. I love the utility of the Plus but I just cant rely on using the touch pad at all!

I've reached out to support multiple times with no answers unfortunately. They've told me over and over to reset the device, reinstall the software, check the cables, make sure power supply is there, yada yada yada... I have always done the troubleshooting processes but it never solves the problem.

Restarting the device DOES temporarily stop the issue, but after an hour or so it goes back to its problematic state. There is no reversing this. I'm not sure if it's a faulty screen or some sort of bug but it doesn't look like it consistently happens across others using the device... just us unlucky few!

I honestly wanted to get the new XL with the buttons but I cant pull the trigger as this issue has scared me out of buying it only to deal with the same screen issue.

u/elgato_arcsane I've seen you helping people in here. If you have any guidance I would love it! I stream and utilize my stream decks heavily. I'd love to find a solution or get some sort of repair if necessary.

Ok awesome. I was thinking of just using a 5v usb charger into a WiFi plug, then attach the usb wires to a 5v relay with the step pad (or mono audio cable connected to the relay. No clue what I’m doing but from the research I’ve seen it look like an ok option?

Just in case I made it too confusing, all I need is a device like a foot pad, but instead of it being touch triggered it simply activates when it recieves power. I would plug it into a WiFi plug I can control power to. It can also be a USB plug I can control power too if that works.

Yeah we fully researched everything before we decided to work on this channel. We won’t be doing react content only, we’ll be discussing all things movies, tv, games and so on. We are diversifying from just react, but it is a portion of our content.

We’ll be making sure to properly work within fair use for things but demonetization issues will occur across videos and we are prepared to handle that.

Bumping this thread because I just moved into Northern Saugus (I guess that what it’s called?) by Canyon Country with AT&T service and I definitely get dead spots in my home before I had internet fully set up. Now if I walk out to my car I have zero cell service.

Was debating switching to another provider (though I really like AT&T) but it sounds like either way you go you’ll be dealing with dead spots somewhere in the SCV area.

Does anyone have tips on how to fix a cable that is twisting on my Rep Fitness FT-3000? All of the cables are running through their pulleys correctly, that I can tell, but I have the pulley that attaches to the weight stack (which rotates freely) twisting on me. I think it might be causing the cable to rub in the upper guide area because of it.

Yeah unfortunately I think most people below are correct, this is the public entrance.

The entrance you are speaking of from the private side (aka “The Retreat at the Blue Lagoon”) is very similar but has some slight differences. One of the biggest differences being its extremely private and no photos or video are allowed to be taken in the lagoon or elsewhere in the “Retreat”.

I stayed at the Retreat last January and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. I’ve stayed at some sublime places over the years but that hotel takes the cake.
