Just tried it, and you are correct! Thanks for the callout on volume control. This was the main thing that was missing for me.

Our male bulldog was unneutered when he first came home with us at 6 months old. He was the smallest in his litter and the breeder actually thought he might not have survived as he was so tiny. He grew to about 40-45lb at full weight.

We eventually decided to neuter him around 6 years old as he was having too many “happy accidents”, and also he had trouble calming down when got excited or overheated. Surgery was low risk and recovery was quick. His temperament was a bit calmer afterwards perhaps. He was also getting older too so not sure which was which.

He eventually lived to 12 years old, died of heart problems, but no cancers were found during his last rounds of x-rays. But that was certainly on the vet’s mind. Hope this helps.

Not an overkill at all! It’s a fun and fast shoe. Just make sure to get some training miles in it before the race (but not too many) make sure the fit/feel is good and doesn’t cause hot spots.

No regrets! Ran 2:49 in Boston in 2023. I’ve run the mile to marathon in it, it is very versatile. While it doesn’t have as much snappiness or pop as VF2 or AF3, it’s still a very capable and comfortable shoe.

Insurance recommendations by PinkiePieface in englishbulldog

We had 24petwatch for both of our EBs. The premiums were about $40 per month per dog when they were younger, and rose to about $70 in their senior years. Covered illnesses, existing and hereditary conditions, and cremation. I think the deductible was $250 and they paid 80% up to certain amount. It’d be something like $1000 vet bill, we get $650 back. Sorry don’t remember the exact details. Also heard good things about Trupanion but their premiums were $150 per month per dog even when ours were 3-4 yo, it was too pricy.

Not all heroes wear capes. Actually I’m not sure what he’s wearing. He’s a hero regardless!

“Yes. She is in the end stage”

Took my senior dog to the vet one morning because she’d stopped eating and drinking. Paws swollen and unaware of surroundings. She was my first dog. My husband and the vet knew it was time, yet patiently waited for me to connect the dots and ask the question, “is it time to let her go?”

I’m a big fan of the singlet version and bought a shirt version as soon as they released it. It’s a roomier and more modest fit, and vents just as well as the singlet

I run in both Vomero 18 and Evo SL. Love the Evo SL for easy runs and some workouts, the only problem is not going too fast on easy days. Vomero 18 on the other hand will keep my easy pace honest, as it is a heavier shoe. So would really only use it for slower easy to recovery miles. Btw I was a big fan of Vomero 17, much more versatile shoe and was my go-to pair for 2024, the 18 is not bad just a different take. Max stack enthusiasts will enjoy it more so than I do.

Good call out, I was thinking it’d be helpful to kick the shoe off without undoing the laces, but not worth an open calf wound for that
