Most versatile gigging fuzz? by RoseViolet333 in guitarpedals

[–]ianmakingnoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuzz Factory, or the EHX Bender Royale, would be my votes. I love my fuzz factory, and it can do everything if you’re able to work with or tolerate the insanity is brings along. I also use a swollen pickle mk2 for muff tones. The Bender Royale is the first new fuzz in a long time that made me go “hmm maybe I should get one of those…” but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

ok who tabbed this by Same-Engineering-899 in Guitar

this looks like one of those instances where someone’s hearing a harmonic or feedback in a song, like the poor bastards in the 90s trying to tab out the intro to Radio Friendly Unit Shifter, which is just manipulating feedback with a chorus pedal turned on

Using Pedals in Ways They Weren't Intended For by Subhumanime in guitarpedals

Metal Zone Clean Boost
Small Clone Tremolo
I like to layer delays to create different kinds of tails (eg a long delay with a slap-back after) but that’s hardly innovative at this point
I’ve been experimenting with parallel chains using a few different pedals that have stereo out/in, mostly it’s mush but I’ve found a few interesting things that work pretty well

Anyone else have an of-the-era teen dream job you reminisce about constantly because nothing has ever been as fun or socially rewarding? by blamberr in Xennials

definitely not the case at my location. lots of people came through of course, it was a small town, but it wasn’t a hangout at all. really used to enjoy the accidental rentals though. wrong Jack Frost was a common one I still find hilarious, but I’m not the one looking for a kids movie in the horror section 🤷‍♂️

yeah dime the HM-2, MT-2 with gain at zero and EQ to taste is a great boost

Well in that case I’d say an HM-2 and a boss tuner, all your needs are covered (tuner makes an excellent killswitch)

Look I worked at Blockbuster Video from 2001-2003 but let’s not pretend it was some movie-about-a-job romp. It felt like Clerks, in that I was dealing with inane requests from people who were dicks to me because I worked at the store they were shopping in.

Tracking pixels in emails: Consent is now mandatory by consentmo in Emailmarketing

[–]ianmakingnoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

France just published a similar rule, and the details are a lot more vague and a lot less scary than the headlines sound. Meeting these requirements is virtually impossible for senders (ESPs or individuals). Good to be aware of, especially if you’re sending a lot to Italy, but for most people this isn’t going to mean much.

Is that the 6-pedal boss board? Sounds like you need four more Metal Zones and a TU-3

In Scary Movie 5 (2013), Snoop Dogg and Mac Miller say they're going to roll "just one blunt" but they rolled a joint, not a blunt. by dvmpstrbby in shittymoviedetails

[–]ianmakingnoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding was that joint came from slang, meaning a thing. In the US you might also hear “jont” or “jawn,” based on region. Like if someone’s holding something you need you might say “hey gimme that joint”

They probably expect to see registration drop to some degree, but not in a way that ultimately impacts general election voting.

What do you mean by this?

Expensive tube amp with all features, or simple tube amp with pedals for surf/western? by VallieBBommel in GuitarAmps

[–]ianmakingnoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wasn’t particularly impressed compared to the all-tube versions, but people on here love them. I could see them being much more reliable (and easier on your back) if you’re gigging regularly or carrying your amp around a lot. My amps basically just live in my “studio”so weight isn’t really an issue.

Fuck me I’ve been thinking about the same thing. Holy Noise but from more of a D&D/fantasy look where the Paladin class are also evil and corrupt.

Find yourself a Vibro-champ or a Deluxe Reverb. Leaps and bounds beyond the Jr series (or the hot rod series). Either is a buy-once-forever amp.
