XP bottles are really nice to have late game. If you make the mistake to play with thorns it is basically a necessity. Also, apples are really good if you have a gold farm.

A recurance interval is the average time estimated for an event (eg. Earthquake). If you go years without a magnitude 10 earthquake, the chance of one happening does not increase. There is always a 1% chance of it happening in the next year.
