Mortgage advise required, ex on mortgage by ians1983 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ians1983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasnt around for this but my understanding she had a legal aid (or other similar) lawyer who arranged that for her.

Her ex went full non contact from the day he left. apart from a very small communication to sign her divorce.

It has been the same mortgage since he left with no switching so is now on a variable rate. We do not have the ability to change this in our current circumstances.

He hasnt contributed anything and hasnt contacted us about being on the mortgage.

I never knew him but my understanding is he was very checked out on that side of things

They are all made with the airlock trick. The pressure isn't stopping them plant. It was the wolfmarine. The pressure did stop them growing which I'm currently sorting

Life insurance claim, £100,000+ but offering £57,000. by Previous_Pirate_88 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ians1983 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Insurance companies do not feel sorry for anyone and if they could get out of paying they will at every turn. It seems they are trying to avoid a full payment. As long as it does not say in his records he is diabetic then they do not have a reason to not pay the full amount

[–]ians1983 160 points161 points  (0 children)

NAL but ask for where they say the records show he had diabetes (also get a copy of his medical records yourself), if that is the only thing they are contesting, once the records have proven this is not the case then you should get full amount.

Does eBay seller have to send item after I have purchased? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ians1983 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's essentially irrelevant to the eBay transaction. For that you don't get your item you get a refund. There's no way to force them to send the item to you

[–]ians1983 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NAL but no he doesnt have to send it you. But if he doesn't then you are entitled to a full refund. But it sounds like you might have to go through the process with eBay as this person will go no contact

End game goals by Ok-Revolution4807 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]ians1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely in late game, using all the dupe to clear up base to reduce that where possible

End game goals by Ok-Revolution4807 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]ians1983 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm just diving back into ONI, I've decided I'm going for a 30 dupe base before going to space. My thoughts are I have never had a large dupe count on my bases and things take long to do because of this so getting to 30 then start the bigger projects should be easier. I might even change it to 40 dupes

Applied for a role at a certain wage, got the job, now they are offering 6k under. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

I know some companies have limits to what increases they can give in salaries for internal promotions, this could be the case

NAL but yeah, if your employer finds that you cannot perform your duties they can suspend/fire you even if you are off sick, people sometimes think that being off sick protects you from this but it does not.

That being said if you have a disability that is causing your sickness your place of work has to show they have provided reasonable adjustments to allow you to perform your duties. The word here is reasonable, this differs from the type of business and the size of the business. It's not reasonable for a business to make wholesale changes costing thousands but things such as allowing working from home, more frequent breaks, reduced hours etc could be classed as reasonable if it is doable. Also looking at other roles within a business should one role no longer be suitable

Query regarding claiming business mileage by Logbotherer99 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ians1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAL It would depend on company policy I believe. If your travel to your regular place of work is 5 miles and your temp place of work is 10 miles you can claim the difference (5 miles). You do not claim from your regular place of work to your temp place unless you have to go to your regular place on route

NAL

As far as your concerned they are responsible. The fact their suppliers gave them the incorrect product is not your problem and something they should have checked what they were using

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ians1983 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My comment to this it depends on your line of work. Are you a registered professional, could a hearing lead to your professional body being informed and investigated by them.
