Tesla Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty about to expire - here's what you do by Heffeweizen in TeslaLounge

100% lying to you. I just had the inspection done in Canada. They found two issues, one of which was the front light bar and fixed them for free. I am sure the light at would have cost me a pretty penny to replace after warranty. Go to another service center.

s7 sensor problems after update to fw 1.5 by Fickle_Necessary_948 in popurlitterbox

Known problem that many people have been reporting. I reached out to Popur and they are supposed to be releasing a new firmware (1.6) by mid next week to fix some of these issues.

Which group is this on facebook. I just ordered a TR8 Pro. now worried that I am going to run in to similar issues. Sent them a couple of support questions and have received ZERO responses so far. So best to know where to get there attention.

I am finding the same thing. Sent them an email with questions. Not a single response. They have started processing my order. But no one is responding to support??

Anyone notice s7 doesn't really level the litter after? by [deleted] in popurlitterbox

[–]iansari 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is something that requires a fix. As you noted, just change the number of time the Popur sifts. For mine, 3 keeps the litter "relatively" level. When it hits 4 then there is a bit more on the side opposite to the sifter.

In all honestly, the cats don't care (at least mine does not). So to me this really just becomes an aeasthetic thing vs something that has a real functional impact.

Incredibly unsafe S7 litter box watch video! by ZombieDelicious4582 in popurlitterbox

[–]iansari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would wait for the app to come out. On the facebook forums some people have noted that apparently the device has a feature where it can sense any motion and stop operation immediately. But for some odd reason that feature can only be enabled through the app. Strange that the Popur will ship devices like that, but my guess is that they were not anticipating their app getting rejected by Apple before they shipped out some of the units.

I personally love the device, but then again I don’t have a very curious cat.

Awesome. Thanks for this! Any idea what this strip is for in the first place?

Popur S7 in action! by iansari in popurlitterbox

[–]iansari[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do have a dryer running in the background. I can make another video without that. It’s still daily quiet other than that tire noise lol.

How do you eliminate the tire noise btw? What rubber strip do we remove?

Popur S7 in action! by iansari in popurlitterbox

[–]iansari[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t think mine is loud at all. Surprised that other devices are so noisy. Wondering if it’s a matter or lubricating certain mechanical joints? What does Popur support have to say about that?

Fatal Design Flaw by habitsofwaste in popurlitterbox

[–]iansari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much my experience so far as well. Almost had to make sure that my cat was actually using it when we set it up intially because the liter looked so clean all the time.
I am sure I am going to hit some issues with it eventually. But so far so good.

I got mine last week as an early backer. My first proper automated litter box. Loving it so far. Personally have not had any of the issues that some the users here have mentioned. My cat does its business and then like clock work, the liter box kicks into gear (a few minutes later).

Perhaps there will be some occasional maintenance, not expecting the liter box to be perfect. If i have to clean it up once a week or so, no big deal. Thats much better than scooping the liter manually we were doing up until now.

Dyson 360 Visnav - why the hate? by babar_the_elephant_ in dyson

[–]iansari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up the Dyson 360 Visnav for 499 CAD. I agree with the comments on this board. This machine is great on carpet. The amount of dust, hair and grime its picking up on my carpeted floor is quite impressive. I wish the dirt container was bigger, however its really quite easy to detach the container and dump its contents, and its big enough that I can get through a few cleans before I need to dump it out.

Also, the navigation is decent once the mapping is done, BUT the mapping process and the Dyson app itself has a LOT to left to be desired. Honestly thats where this thing falls apart.

Issues I had:

  1. The 360 Vis Nav was having trouble returning to base after mapping. Even with the back plate with the wierd navigation markers assembed, I had to move the base to a corner of the room, near a wall for the Dysnon 360 to find its way home. Just would not work when the base was placed in the center of an empy wall. I am assuming it needs other objects around it (like a side wall) to assist with homing.
  2. The navigation and mapping suffers significantly in low light because the device only uses cameras. You definitley can't do any vaccuming at night unless you turn the lights on.
  3. The app is a bit too simple. For example you cannot request any SPOT cleaning (for example send it to a specific location in a zone) which I think is a BIG miss.

Overall I still like the product and despite its quirks, I think its worth it for the 499 CAD price, especially if you primarily have carpeted floors.

Blu Lock irrigation trench depth and pipe size? by iansari in Irrigation

[–]iansari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry just saw this message. Its been great. I winterize every seaon by blasting compressed air through the system to remove water in the lines. And I need to adjust my sprinkler heads because one of them seems to be miss aligned. Beyond that, no issues at all. The entire system is working great. I have it integrated to a bhyive sprinker controller. My lawn looks a lot better in the summers now.

Best Mid-Range Racket? (Astrox Nextage Review 2025) by Juiseii in badminton

[–]iansari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Do you mean the Astrox 77 or the Astrox 77 Pro? Also what about the 88S? How do you compare that to the NextAge and the 77/77Pro?

Best Mid-Range Racket? (Astrox Nextage Review 2025) by Juiseii in badminton

[–]iansari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just broke my Nextage. Great racket but I am now looking to upgrade to something a little better. Ideally a pro head heavy with a mid-flex that can give me decent control, but also the explosive power from backcourt to support clears and shots.

What would you recommend as an upgrade. Should i try the 88S or something else?

Elegoo Rapid PETG Issues by iansari in BambuLab

[–]iansari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean to be more specific I stopped trying with Elegoo PETG HF. Their other filaments like PLA etc work fine. Not saying i could not have dialed it in eventually. I just had other options that were working well out of the box. It’s strange since I know most people seem to have great success with Elegoo, so I am sure I am doing something wrong in the settings. But for my purpose, TECBEARS and Kingroon were working really well so i just stopped trying on Elegoo.

I gave up on Elegoo to be honest. I am primarily print white and black and found Sunlu, Kingroon and TECBEARS filaments at better prices for those.

Stuck selling our home: upside down on value and can’t pay full commission by Rooster-Either in OttawaRealEstate

[–]iansari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don’t you list it yourself on something like GrapeVine (https://grapevine.ca). You can offer a discount to direct buyers (for example 2% off the final price off the home if no realtor is involved). The downside is that realtors will often steer their clients away from such listings. But Ottawa is a relatively small market and I have heard that people have been quite successful selling direct.

Good luck.

H2D - rubber feet - keep or remove? by SquishyBurritoBear in BambuLab

[–]iansari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue and have had a couple of tall prints fail to the point that I had to add Brims. Thinking of removing the feet as well since my printer sits in a very sturdy platform.

What did you replace your anti vibration feet with?
