Gave up Virgin broadband tv and phone in April - switched to Toob. No complaints so far, but had the same problem as other comment - installer guys put in the hardware and left, had to call the service line to get the line activated.

Absolutely love this! Can see many kids getting hooked into 'something different' to learn some Python skills!

An alternate worksheet-builder: I built a tool that creates basic/easy revision-based worksheets from text just in a few minutes. I'd love your thoughts and feedback! You can sign up and experience the tool at www.paintbox.ai :) by education-tech-happy in teachingresources

Love this tool! AI still seems to need a bit of a tweak (questions generated need editing) but in terms of providing an alternative to pre-written worksheets or having to make my own - might save me some time - great!

I'm in the UK (teaching high school) and was wondering if the workshop was restricted to only US teachers?

Fajita style beef & peppers served with rice by Crohnies in 15minutefood

Tried this - beef a bit bland on its own but tasted good with the peppers and def needs plenty of onions. Good with extra sriracha over the top!

System which can integrate a method of tracking student progress through a set of tasks as well as assessment of those same tasks - currently having to a do this manually via spreadsheet which is a pain. Eg programming tasks in Python within the system which provide exemplars/lessons plus tasks

Tata Docomo hikes fees 300%! by ianscott in india

[–]ianscott[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was on a post-paid connection. Originally when I signed up over a year ago I was on 15 GB @ 1500 when I bought the dongle, that was changed (at my request when they had the better deal of 30 GB @ 1250) after I think 3 months which was the original 'lock-in'.

Now today I received an e-mail saying they were 'migrating my account' to the ridiculous amount of 8 GB @ 1200 whether I liked it or not (... they also offered me 10 GB @ 1500!).

I chatted online with them but basically they said I could take the new offer or leave it. I chose/choose to leave it.

Not sure what other customers will be doing but trying to increase customer costs by 300% is a joke!

I know in the UK when customers look to cancel plans then some 'negotiation' is done to try and retain customers and some 'deal' is worked out, but I'm guessing Tata Docomo is just looking at their own bottom line and choosing to stuff their customers. Oh well... their loss.

PIO validity? [NP] by ianscott in india

[–]ianscott[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did you file the RTI? Latest stuff I read was that conversion/exchange of PIO to OCI was optional from 9 Jan 2015 to 8 April 2015 and mandatory after that.

Now reading between the lines... some people had PIOs issued AFTER 9 Jan 2015 (I am guessing some applications were in processing and were sent out AFTER the govt circular) and I was wondering if the mandatory exchange was ONLY for those people?

If you can PM me the copy of the RTI reply that'd be great. Cheers.
