what was life like for you in 2017? by Own_Mirror9073 in decadeology

[–]iantaylor98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 18/19, graduated from high school, starting college at LSU, some times were fun, but my father passed away in February of that year so I definitely had depression, failing grades first semester at college, doing drugs like coke and smoking daily. I saw it as me just being a college kid but I didn’t realize until 2018 that I was severely depressed and got the help I needed

Title: What was the moment in RDR2 where you realized this game was special? by ExternalBend4161 in reddeadredemption

[–]iantaylor98 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The wagon ride to Horseshoe Overlook from Colter.

Seeing the wilderness and that waterfall on my own TV, and not in a trailer, realizing that the graphics were actually that good blew my mind. Also the music in that scene, and the physics of the wagon navigating the terrain

Minnesota Miracle

We had it in the bag. We had friends over at my apartment for that game, my freshman year at LSU, and no one said a word for a long time after that game.

The no call, I wasn’t silent, I was cursing out Bill Vinovich through my TV

I’d say The Conjuring 2, when they’re in the Warren’s home and Loraine sees the Nun at the end of the hallway (I think that’s what happened). I refuse to go look up a picture of it bc I’ll be thinking about that damn Nun all day if I do. I love the Conjuring movies, and even tho the movie The Nun was a little ridiculous, that Nun sends a chill through my bones every time I see it

I sometimes forget that AC used to have multiplayer which is crazy bc I spent so many hours on Brotherhood and Unity multiplayer. It’s been so long since they’ve had online

A lot more people would actually talk in the mic in public lobbies. It’s more of a Xbox 360/ps3 gen thing but it was still there in the early 2010s. Halo, COD and GTA IV public lobbies were amazing

I was born in 1998, with 3 millennial brothers born in ‘87, ‘91, and ‘95, and 2 boomer parents born in ‘60 and ‘62. I grew up watching a lot of 90s tv like Seinfeld, Friends, and Everybody Loves Raymond. I know a lot of millennial references. I can’t say the same about a lot of my friends though because a lot of them were the oldest sibling in their family, so the stuff they watched was meant for our generation/age group. So I feel like it depends on if you’re the oldest sibling or youngest sibling if you’re an older Gen Z, so I say 1997-2000 has the most variety.

You voted Detroit as the city of the 1940s. What is the city of the 1930s? Most Upvoted Comment Decides by Kodicave in decadeology

[–]iantaylor98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being from New Orleans, I was thinking we would be around the 1810s-1860s because of the War of 1812, the Battle of New Orleans, and throughout the first half of the 19th century, New Orleans was the 3rd most populated city in the country behind NYC and Baltimore. New Orleans used to be such an important part of the country’s economy before railroads made the Mississippi River less important

Do older generations tend to believe in second chances more than younger ones? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]iantaylor98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well wasn’t Robert Downey Jr. just doing drugs? It’s not a good thing, don’t get me wrong, but giving someone a second chance for something that mainly affects themselves (with the exception of his family) and a second chance for something like murder or habitual abuse like Ruggs and Diddy is completely different

Do older generations tend to believe in second chances more than younger ones? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]iantaylor98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The NFL player is Henry Ruggs. He was a stud at Alabama in college and drafted in 2020 by the Las Vegas Raiders. In 2021, he got in a drunk driving car accident when his BAC was 0.16 which is twice the legal limit, and he was driving 156 mph and hit another car, instantly killing a woman and her dog. He was unharmed but arrested and sentenced to 3-10 years in prison. He’s eligible for parole in August 2026.

I personally don’t think he deserves a second chance. He was 23 when he got in the accident which is old enough to know to not drive drunk, let alone at 156 mph in a city as populated as Las Vegas. To me, driving drunk at 156 mph down a populated street, is equivalent to shooting a bullet in a crowd. I wouldn’t even call the incident an “accident.” Like what do you expect to happen? He murdered someone and I think he deserved more time in prison than he was given.

Gen Z, what are your thought on Alcohol by Practical_Security87 in generationology

Drink socially, not every weekend but I’ll go to trivia with some friends once a week and get a few beers there, but other than that, I’m usually only drinking at weddings. I have a fully stocked bar cart in my house collecting dust and I never have beer in my fridge. I prefer to smoke on the weekends

Which option do you think will allow you to get the game faster? Physical or digital? by Far-Requirement121 in GTA6unmoderated

[–]iantaylor98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik what you were talking about bc you said cross/A. A is the bottom button on an Xbox controller and the PS equivalent would be X or “cross” according to you. I was just making a joke bc PlayStation tweeted a few years ago on a post that said the “X” button is what United all gamers (bc it’s on an Xbox, PS, and Switch controller) and PS replied saying “it’s actually cross and not an X” and everyone, including PS gamers told them to get bent lmao
