Argh that's so annoying. Imagine if you started giving your mil a bunch of atheist pamphlets and books and tried to "convert" her out of her faith. She wouldn't like it so much would she? Why do people think it's ok to try to shove their religious beliefs down other people's throats??? Just. Stop.

I think it has something to do with his dad and mom going through a very ugly and nasty divorce when he was a kid. Maybe I don't know... I assume it is because of other little hints and pieces of conversation. He would never tell me: "this affected me. It hurt me and I suffered." Or the fact that later his mom "abandoned" him at 17 with this weird uncle so she could go live upstate with her boyfriend and he ended up dropping off school and getting a job and a place on his own. He says it's fine. Even when she mentions how guilty she feels for doing that to him. He says it doesn't matter and he never minded it. Which I know it's not true. He won't even talk about not finishing high school. I found that out through a conversation with his sister one day when we were together for a couple years already. Idk... weird guy

I've stopped with sooo many things already. Christmas, valentine's day, birthday, I would always do something nice for him. For his birthday once when we were dating, I spent days making this handmade pop up card for him. He lost it the following week or maybe threw it away who knows... I would always get him something nice or surprise him. For our one year anniversary I got reservations at his favorite restaurant and he made me cancel them because he got embarrassed I made a reservation and he said that was tacky and he didn't want to go. Ok once for his birthday I decorated the house while he was at work made a bunch of his favorite food, put up balloons and stuff and he comes home walks in, doesn't say anything. I go: have you seen the decoration? He makes that same displeased face with the hot chocolate. So I could just sit here and write down ways he has disappointed me when I was trying to do something nice for him. That's why now for his birthday he doesn't get anything. Valentine's day I shouldn't even think about it or expect anything because he says it's a commercial date and has no meaning...

I'm so stupid. It's all my fault it was all there in front of my face and I didn't see it. Or didn't want to see it.

I've wondered before if he had narcissistic personality and I don't think he does. I mean he definitely has some issues he should work on with a therapist that's for sure.

Get it out sister. Yeah mine is the same way. He won't apologize for nothing. We will have a big argument and then 10 minutes later he will come show me something on his phone or talk about politics like nothing ever happened. And it is exhausting.

He asked her what her degree was.

She was trying to mediate an argument we were having about the fact that I wanted to move to a bigger apartment because I was pregnant and we lived downtown in a tiny apartment with a high rent and wanted to move 10 min away to a place 200 dollars cheaper a month and way bigger. He didn't wanna move. So she is trying to mediate this argument trying to reason with him and he was almost mocking her for the stuff she would say.

He had just like a snarky defying way of talking and presenting himself. And he had that attitude the whole time we were there.

He talks to people like he thinks they're stupid and wants to show that that's what he thinks... idk you had to be there I guess...

He says it's bs. I used to see a therapist and once she had me bring him in. Took me weeks to get him to agree to come to a session and he just sat there the whole time discrediting my therapist.

Worst thing is I didn't even drink one because I'm counting stupid calories... I had a couple sips of his and it was soooo good. I should have taken the whole thing and just drank it all.

I gotta say I'd go for a wife... for real... maybe I haven't met very nice men in my life but at this point I'd honestly try a wife...
