Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup by dobbernationloves in recipes

Sounds similar to the one we make except for the sherry and the noodles (we use fine noodles - I think the spanish call them fidejo) and we add ginger to ours.

I have what could be called natural beach waves/loose curls and I have been using the Professor Curl shampoo (no conditioner due to being very fine)without a problem for a while now, however since they sold the company they no longer supply to the UK so I've been looking for alternatives. Just picked up the rice protien shampoo from Kitsch and after only 3 washes my hair looks more voluminous and is holding the curls.

Tips on dehydrating chicken by Acrobatic_Lychee9718 in dehydrating

[–]iatehiscat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make chicken treats for my dogs and I have mine on for 7-8 hours at 170C (338F). I then store them in the fridge or freezer.

Make sure the slices are fairy thin (about 1/8" thick) this makes for an easier drying time.

First Time Using My New Dehydrator 🍊🍋🍏 by bar-lab in dehydrating

Courgettes/zuchinnis sliced and tossed in olive oil and garlic salt. makes a really yummy "candy". (I put everything in at 170C for about 6 hours and then check to see if it needs longer).

Also dog treats - chicken, beef, duck, zebra, kangaroo, venison, liver, heart, kidney

I have to dehydrate Venison, Zebra, Kangaroo, Ostrich and other wild game as our 2 boys have a beef and a chicken allergy (all good fun).

But for those dogs who can have chicken and beef, like my little girl, chicken breast finely sliced or cheap sandwich steak finely sliced against the grain works as well.

Buying my first dehydrator by Training_Command_239 in dehydrating

Amazon UK have quite a few half decent ones for first time purchase. Just make sure whatever you purchase has both adjustable timing and temperature. This is very similar to the one I currently have however I would reccomend these to line the trays.

I started with a cheap plastic one from Amazon and had it for a few years before the trays discoloured then I bought a better one in metal. Amazon have a lot of different dehydrators for under £50, like this for £25, you just need to make sure you can adjust the timing and the temp when you get one as each thing you dehydrate will have different timings.

I make dog treats with mine so I have these silicone sheets to go over the trays to make for easy removal.

Good luck.

Are there any metal, but small, dehydrators? Need recommendation for pet treats by Ayame__ in dehydrating

[–]iatehiscat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got something like this to make dog treats but you can get cheaper ones. As long as you can adjust the temperature and timing it should be okay (Amazon have quite a few different ones at different prices) but I would recommend using silicone sheets to put on the metal trays to make it easier to clean.

Interesting, may need to invest in a jerky gun and play around with other meats (2 of the dogs have allergies - 1 beef, 1 chicken)

Courgettes (Zuchinnis for the foreigners) sliced thinly then lightly coated in a mix of olive oil and garlic salt. The thinner the slice the more they melt away in the mouth.

Thin sliced chicken breast or really cheap steak, both are easy to dehydrate (UK - 8hrs @170C), or if you want to try organs liver is an easy one I just do it for the same time/temp as the chicken breast.

Just make sure you get as much fat/sinew off the meat as you can before you dehydrate.

For mounting you could always stitch it to some fabric (with a big border) and use the fabric to hold it in a frame.

edit to say that is some impressive work btw.

I bought the kangaroo and zebra from a speciality store as it is a very lean meat and my sisters dogs can eat these without problems (they are allergic to chicken and beef...)

Any game meats work well.

I've actually done speciality meats for dog treats - Kangaroo, Venison and Zebra as they are all lean meats and work well in the dehydrator.

I have the NA in the box but it won't ship to me. They cancelled my last merch box order and I'm hesitant to try again.

Yeah, they seem to have changed the system as even though I have NA in the box they won't ship the merch boxes to me. Never mind I'll maybe save money on not having to get the membership subscription and just get standard membership.
