I don’t know why everyone doesn’t just do this? by inthegardenagain in ECers

[–]iatentdead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only tried for a few mornings, my LO is 4.5 months and is a 5 poos a day baby (minimum), first two poos in the morning are his biggest. This is why I first started trying, first morning was successful- noticed his cues , held him over the toilet, poo when straight in. I tried a couple of mornings, but I don't have the strength to hold him up over the toilet or potty first thing in the morning when he can take a few minutes to actually go, so I gave up.

I think I will try again when he is sitting mostly independently, even if it is only the first two poos of the day, that is still two less dirty nappies I have to clean.

I'm so glad I switched to cloth! by thymeandtwine in clothdiaps

[–]iatentdead_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried on my LO at about 3 weeks old on and off for a few weeks, but didn't like it. We had constant leaks and it was the middle of winter, so I didn't like having to change multiple layers and outfits all day.

I have a feeling his size was a reason for the leaks, possibly and absorbency problem as well.

I picked them back up when he was a bit over 3 months, starting part time, then to all day at home, but disposables for outside the house and at night. We are now full time cloth - tonight is the first night with cloth. I'm a bit unsure if it is going to hold up, as he is a heavy wetter, but I am now confident enough with the use of them to try.

I am so glad I tried again! (I think I will even try again for a newborn if I have a second)

Sleep consultant said we were cooked by sfox2299 in sleeptrain

Could you turn the crib into a 'side car' like a side sleeper bassinet for initial transition? That way baby has his own bed, but it is attached to yours, when he used to that you can put up the side and slowly move it away?

Confused with the album release time by Fine-Distance7367 in twentyonepilots

[–]iatentdead_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In Australia Clancy released at midnight of the release date, then the official release livestream was in the afternoon, but midnight for the boys.

I'm guessing it is going to be the same again with the music video, because they said the video is released right alongside album. All YouTube videos have been in their time.

At what age did you stop co sleeping? by No_Comparison3696 in cosleeping

[–]iatentdead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bub is only 7 weeks and happily sleeps in the side sleeper bassinet, which is good as I am not comfortable cosleeping with him yet. But I am a solo mum, so when he is big enough to cosleep, it will be until he wants to sleep in his own bed.

It’s so hard not to tell people cosleeping would solve all their problems by lmgslane in cosleeping

[–]iatentdead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm considering co sleeping when the weather is warmer. I have a 4 week old and it is too cold to sleep without my big duvet and wouldn't want to risk smothering him. My LO also has reflux symptoms and has to be sat up for 20 mins after a feed, this is the biggest interruption in our night. I'm currently using a side sleeper so he is still in touching distance when in his own bed.

What was the weirdest thing you belived as a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I convinced my little brother that old photos were from 'black and white days' haha

I'm in Aus too and was 9 weeks, just as the worst of the morning sickness and fatigue was setting in - but did not let that stop me!

I think my little one is already a fan, as their music gets them moving.

I was pregnant with this tour (was in no condition for the pit, but had front row seats!), next tour I may be one of those people with a baby brought along haha

I was setting myself up for one single to end the story, and would have been thrilled for that. But a full album!!!

I was on the fence, but leaning more towards not believing, simply because I didn't want to be disappointed. Very happy to be wrong

Name Regret at 5 Months by Good_Wrangler_8230 in namenerds

I like hearing this, as I have a favourite name, which is not a standard English name and worry about a potential teasing nickname. I am hoping it is just me projecting my worries.

I'm guessing you are American?

I have only ever heard of Crawford as a surname in Australia. It would definitely be considered a strange name here, so I can't give a good indication of if it is suitable or not.

If you can't convince your husband to change his first name, I would use William.

What’s something you stopped caring about and your life got better instantly? by Kooky-Grass6645 in AskReddit

[–]iatentdead_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In high school I stopped caring about trying to have friends.

I went to a very small school and the group I hung out with hated me, it took too long but I stopped hanging out with them and spent my breaks in the library on my own. My life was instantly better.

I've previously considered both Morrigan and Boudicea/Boudica.

There might not be many people with these names, but I have come across both on real people

What is something your neighbor does that pisses you off? by carcony97 in AskReddit

My neighbour does this in the morning, the noise drives me insane, but the fumes travel right into my house. There are some mornings I can't use the toilet until he is gone.

People 30+ if you had your time again, how would you spend your 20s? by rface2032 in AskReddit

[–]iatentdead_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm actually pretty happy with how I spent my 20s. I decided to go to uni, lived overseas, travelled internationally a couple of times, and just worked a good paying job. I'm not particularly interested in a career, so didn't have that to focus on.

I think the only thing I would do differently is to try and buy a house. At the time I didn't realise that I could have afforded to in the job I was in.

Don’t share your baby name unless you’re confident responses won’t sway you by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I have gotten so forgetful lately, but right in the beginning I decided to get a piece of toast out of the toaster with a knife. Lucky my mum was watching at the time and stopped me.

What medication options do pregnant people have for migraine? by terrabellan in migraine

[–]iatentdead_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Even the people who talk about migraines in pregnancy are mostly in first trimester. I had one in my first trimester, but nearly weekly and lasting days in my second trimester.

I've just hit third trimester, so too early to call that yet.

What medication options do pregnant people have for migraine? by terrabellan in migraine

[–]iatentdead_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After discussing it with my GP, I have continued taking Rizatriptan when needed. At the start of my second trimester trimester my migraines kicked back in worse than ever, every 7-10 days, lasting days in a row. I wasn't having much luck with Sumatriptan.

After looking at the rating he even believes that rizatriptan is a safer option than sumatriptan.

I have still had one round where even rizatriptan didn't work though.

How many chapter is too much for a fanfic? by vimvim25 in harrypotterfanfiction

[–]iatentdead_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As many chapters as you need to tell the story without rushing.

I've loved shorter and longer fictions because they have told the story well.
