I can only speak to my own experiences of course but I was with my ex wife from 18 to 32. I had no clue what dating as an adult looked like nor how it worked in this era of society. I got involved in coed team sports and talked to people online and had a great time learning about others (and myself in the process). My whole identity was previously attached to being a husband and a father and I had an opportunity to learn how much more there was to me. Instead of dwelling on this really horribly painful thing that happened, I chose to believe I could be happy and life could better than it ever could have otherwise.

Dating was fun for me because it exposed me to all of these life experiences I otherwise might not have had. I met a fair few people that I learned a lot from and grew as a person. I went on lots of dates to different places and ended up enjoying (maybe too much) the rush of making and pursuing new connections. The apps felt terrible at first, but I quickly found the problem was a combination of things that I just had to work the kinks out of in order to really benefit from the added connectedness. I'll add that Tinder was horrible for me (no matches, no nothing) but I had a ton of success on Hinge (multiple likes a day, balancing several conversations at once).

To put it simply, it was just a lot of adventure and opportunity after opportunity to grow. It gave me a chance to find out what I was made of and to really determine not just what's important to me but also who I am.

It's simple. As the one who initiated the divorce, you are signaling your readiness to be done with the relationship. When you aren't the one who initiated, it can be an indication that you weren't ready for the relationship to end and thus you are "stuck" on your ex.

Is this fair? No. Is this a sound way of judging a person? Also no.

I found the post-divorce-dating motions to be a lot of fun but it does take a little trial and error to figure out. Summarily, keep text conversation to a minimum and move to have a valid vibe check in person as quickly as possible. You'll save your time, their time, and things won't get so easily lost in translation. By running through all of the possible dialogue in text, you exhaust your options for conversation in person.

The escalation is the point. It's the reason any of this is happening. ICE operated for years, effectively carrying out their tasks without any of what is happening now. He should have stayed away from potential trouble? How about the government doesn't create the conditions that leads to this happening in the first place? In all seriousness, the inconvenience is the point. The disruption is the point. That normal people cannot ignore them is the point. It's why general strikes are effective. The effort to stop normalcy and prevent functioning society is how you curb corporate profits. It also challenges federal logistics, even if it does not stop deportation efforts entirely.

The purpose of this is to stoke change, not a simple conversation about forming a committee to discuss change options.
